I'm curious which parts you think are not factual?

Can you please explain how the team had above average talent post-Ben's era?

    Really, the post-Ben's injury era...

They didn't, but by that time tomlin's inadequacy was well established.

Because they didn't have to??? Pickens is one of the best WRs in football and wants to be paid like it.

They tagged him this year, and then they will tag him next year and try to work out a long-term contract then.

    Now that’s funny :lollmao:

    Ridiculous but funny

Should the Steelers take the same approach for 3 years with JPJ

What? I thought this was your approach to JPJ this year. Make JPJ play out his rookie contract this year.

I never suggested that, I did say it was an option which it is

    A poor option IMO

A guy who stalks me took what I said and twisted it around so he could lie

    He does that repeatedly

    Sad very sad

Yeah, I double dog dare Cowboys to tag Pickens back to back years, that will be entertaining

Man, with some folks, every accusation really is a confession.

It is funny to see him back away from his stance on Porter when challenged. Use leverage. Only pay what they want to pay. Cap space isn't Monopoly money. Then, when the hypocrisy of those posts is called out in the light of his defense of overpaying Watt, the lies start flowing.

They got one All-Pro level season from him. They will likely get another as he plays for his big payday. Meanwhile, the Steelers got a year of mediocrity from Metcalf, losing two games to his selfish, immature behavior, then watching him return with a killer drop in the playoff game.

Maybe this is what got him fired from his “former” job
Clearly he doesn’t comprehend English or he wouldn’t lie so much

Going into the 2026 season, independent sources are showing a clear gap between George Pickens and DK Metcalf. Multiple respected rankings have Pickens as a top-7 to top-9 NFL wide receiver, while DK doesn’t crack the top 15 — landing at 26th on one major list with no honorable mention in the top 10 on another.

    Two examples:

ESPN (execs, coaches & scouts poll): Top-10 WR rankings for 2026

    PFF: 2026 WR Rankings
    2025 Receiving Stats (via ESPN):

In NFL stats of 2025 receiving Pickens finished #3 in the NFL in receiving yards (1,429).
DK was a country mile behind at #28 (850 yards). The numbers and expert consensus back it up there’s a difference between the two right now.

    https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id...p-10-wide-receivers-2026-execs-coaches-scouts

    https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-wide-receiver-rankings-2006

    https://www.espn.com/nfl/stats/player/_/stat/receiving

So according them there is a difference between the two players. A 28th rated receiver on yards is barely #1 WR.

Pickens wouldnt have produced those numbers in our offense and sure as hell wouldnt have with both him and DK on the team.

You keep comparing apples to oranges.

I’m seeing a commonality with the 3-4 posters who still don’t understand why Pickens was overall bad for the team

There is a reason you dont see players tag back to back years very often. Aside from it just being fiscally irresponsible for the club, players don’t like it.

Couch GM’s love the tag though.

He wasnt in an offense that suited him here and went to a team that did but some can grasp that. They dont trust what their eyes showed them and con themselves into believing all things are equal and there is no difference between Dallas and the Steelers.

Pickens even said he wanted to move on because the offense didnt suit him but facts bounce off some people and only their agenda matters.

Pickens was never gonna work after 2024. He would have pulled a Le'Veon Bell in '25... and sat out the entire season, if Steelers were dumb enough to keep him. Fortunately, Steelers traded him to Cowboys. He's their problem now.

How about Bill being a way better HC than Tomlin? Belichick with out Brady is 83- 104, and 1 playoff win. The same Brady who left Belichick, and then won another SB while Belichick struggled until he was fired. How about that.
