The Ben I saw in games 1 and 2 was no better than what I saw from Rudolph. He’s not going to get better. When it goes, it goes. Just ask Eli

I guess you didn't see Barron just out there jogging in coverage on some plays, he's a bum, VW is a better option at least he hustles. You're the one that sounds silly for defending that scrub .

Eli has been garbage for over 5 years, Ben led the league in passing yardage in 2018.

He may not be, but not because of what we have seen the last 2 weeks. He has been held back, had no line, no sunning support. My goodness give the kid a chance.

Man here we go can't wait for Ben to get back.......STOP!!!!!! We were on our way to a win if JC holds the ball. This was Mason's first start and vs a surprisingly good defense, he struggled in the first half....yeah in his first start(not sure if I said that) and came on in the 2nd half. Mason is far from Ben but Ben also has been around for 15 years. Ben isn't gonna play forever so time to move on. Here is my take of this:

Hate to say it but without that POS AB this offense is looking different. Look at the cinny game 343 total yards and 16 points vs many back up players on an already bad defense. Then we all know what happened to open the season in NE. And in the Seattle game Ben looked bad as well, but the bigger thing is in all 3 of these games we lost our running game. Like him or not Ben and AB had a special connection on the field. They both like to play back yard ball and it looks to me without AB Ben don't have that anymore. I am not sticking up for the POS AB but if anyone can't admit what he has brought to this offense then they are in straight denial. Oh and for the record screw AB..........

Now another thing Ray stinking Sherman, he sucked when he was here with slash and he stinks right now. Why is one of our best WR's in franchise history coaching for the Jets?????? Your gonna tell me Ward could work with Juju......stop.

That brings me to the coaching staff, we have heard the fire MT chants it isn't gonna happen in season and I am not sure it will happen after. However it needs to and Butler and Fitchner need to go with him. Time to start over we have been on a downhill slide for awhile and it sux.

I heard Ben had successful ops and will be back in 2020. Now, I think his time has passed but you never know. I do know this for sure, he will be welcomed back with open arms after what I'm pretty sure will be a terrible 2019 season.

I agree fully on the ray Sherman statement and said this at the time. He will not help this group of young receivers. A tomlin Colbert lazy approach to filling a void. I don't agree with the ward statement. I love ward but we need a more veteran wr coach. Mann had a proven track record and so did drake. We need another like them and not just a guy that was conveniently here. He was here for a reason, because nobody else wants him near their offense. We have been much better with vet coaching instead of first timers. Let me add good vet coaches.

I'm not sure why people think a good or great ex-player translates to being a good coach. The two require completely different skill sets. Sometimes the athlete has the skills to coach, sometime they don't. Sometimes the coach had the skills to play, sometimes they didn't.

Well I am glad we agree on Sherman however I will have to do some digging but I thought I had read that Ward was pretty good with all the young WR's we had at the end of his career. I get you want a more vet guy but if Ward can teach which is what I thought I read why not him for many years to come? If Ward can teach half as good as he played man I would take that in a heartbeat.......especially with who we have now. jmo

Well I will assume you are referring to my Ward comment so I will tell you why I think ward would make a good coach. It has NOTHING to do with him being a good/great player but like I just said to Mac I remember reading how good Ward was with the young WR's at the end of his career. I will tell you right now I do not like what a saw with Sherman when he was here before but that is JMO.

I do agree with what you are saying about good/great players not being good coaches but some are. I mean Greene had a nice stint in GB and NY and I would have loved for him to be here but not cause he was a great player cause he showed he can coach. It does happen time to time

Ward could be a good coach because he wasn't the most gifted receiver coming out of college. He made himself great by hard work and playing with passion and intelligence. These are things he could pass on to young receivers.

Rudolph isn't the problem, he showed composure and a combination of mobility and arm strength.

We have coaching issues at nearly every spot!

Fichtner never called a long pass to keep the D honest and let Conner get going until it was too late.

Our O-line sucks with the same guys as Munchak had performing at elite levels.

Butler has Mark Barron playing who might be losing games by himself.

And Tomlin stands around looking like he is scouting another team for talent.

You are right. The issue with that is, this isnt the first time. There was 5 min left in the game before he fumbled, plenty of time for the Niners to come back if the Steelers had to punt. Even before he fumbled I was cringing he may fumble. I am some guy on his couch watching. Tomlin doesn't seem to have a pulse on things with this team. He just doesn't.

Conner is a fumbler and I respect his story but he can not be a starter on this team. Steelers need so many thins right now I cant even get into it.

Some fans also thought Porter would be a good hire as OLB coach, we saw how that turned out.
