Now go look at who the Bills have beaten, and come back.
I dislike this type of narrative because we aren’t the only teams that played, or will play those teams, and the only way it makes sense is if we were the only team to play them.
Also do You remember how we lost the Seahawks game??

I hope you "pollyannas" are right this year... and I'm wrong. :lolol:

I've been burnt too many times. Only difference in this year is that we have a QB who IF stays healthy... it may give us 1 playoff win at best in the stacked AFC. 1 playoff win is the ceiling for this team unfortunately. I'm thinking the worst... and the usual tailspin losing to the better teams remaining on the schedule. I believe we have 6 definite losses... Packers, Colts, Chargers, Bills, Ravens (once) and Lions. Just don't see Steelers competing with these teams in shootouts with our current Jumbo package which is good for ball control and field goals... but not so much for TDs and shootouts with Bills and Lions.

Hell... even the Bears game looks tough now since Caleb has turned the corner at QB.

I can't see Flacco walking onto the Bengals and getting completely in sync with everyone in only a few days.

The Steelers now have leaders on both sides of the ball, Rodgers, Ramsey, and Queen. That is a big difference.

Did You not see at least the stats of last week's game??? He played with the Bengals vs the Packers, and even though lost, had a better td to int than the Packers Qb.

FWIW, my hasty tabulation produces: since the NFL adopted the 17-game season, away teams have a 45.9% win rate overall, 45.5% on TNF. A surprisingly small difference.

The AFC is not stacked. The Ravens are 1-5 and not all of the injured players will return. The Bills got smacked around by a middling Falcons team last night. The Chiefs have been erratic. The Broncos, Chargers, Colts, and Jaguars have all shown promise, but do any of those teams really look like some unstoppable powerhouse?

MT won't be playing, but the team he is in charge of will be. If he is absolved from his struggles, then he needs to be absolved from his successes also. He's had plenty of success, but if he isn't held in part accountable for road Thursday struggles or his poor playoff performances, then he shouldn't be held accountable for his stretch of no losing seasons or his Super Bowl win. It goes both ways.

Even with Parsons, the Packers' pass rush is not very good. The Steelers should be able to take better advantage of their weak offensive line. They are better with Flacco, but that doesn't mean they are great.

The pattern for the Bengals is to fall far behind, then rack up numbers with late rallies. The Steelers need to keep their collective feet on the gas no matter what happens early on Thursday night. That means playing their guys and attacking no matter the score.

People act like the Steelers have this terrible track record against Joe Flacco. His career mark against them is 12-13. Much of that comes with some very good Ravens teams around him when he was younger and had a lot more in the tank. That's not to say he isn't dangerous, but if you pressure the guy, the turnovers will come.

That can't be true some fans seem to think only Tomlin and the Steelers lose on TNF .

I've seen almost every Bills game this year and they are not a good team. Josh Allen has to play a great game in order for them to win. If he has just a so-so game they have no chance of winning.

If he is up against a good defense like Atlanta he struggles. Potentially good news for the Steelers

The Bills scored 14 points vs Atlanta so much for a shootout, and the Lions got shutdown by the Chiefs only scoring 17 points.

I can see our jeckyl/hyde defense laying eggs against those teams. If the defense continues to improve.... fine. But if we revert back to Seattle and New England games where the D line was getting blown up... all bets are off.

HC & OC should let Rodgers call his own plays, then sit back and drink iced tea for the win.
