Every search engine I go to has at least 7-8 articles with BS about who the Steelers might take. And a lot suck me in.

I’ve gotten to where I don’t even read them anymore. The members of this board could do as well as many of the so-called experts in trying to project who the Steelers may take. Mock drafts used to be fun when all we had was the S&S or Sporting News mock draft editions on magazine shelves. Now they’ve become annoying.

I have an APP called NewsBreak that in the beginning provided actual news

But now every single Steelers article is clickbait with zero factual content

A guy named Noah Strackbein is the worst

    Dave Holcomb is another

I just had a scary thought

You actually do believe your Pee Wee football plays actually will work in the NFL

He's projected to get a contract averaging 12 million a year, that might be too much for the Steelers.

no - that is not too much, if he becomes the MARQUEE center that we need for 10 years. Is he a top 5 C in the league right now - I don't know that cat.

enough is enough with patch work.

    right player, right price.

I would rather they find their center of the future in the draft, instead of overpaying for one in free agency.

Winner. People can somehow tell You Mason can't do it from watching a Qb play less than a season of games, but they think guys like Fields who has 38 starts , and sucks is the answer. LoL. You can't make this $hi+ up. LoL

The Steelers can't fill all their needs through the draft. The big needs are C, OT, D-line, CB, with lesser needs being WR, ILB, SS, QB. OLB, RB, and TE are the only positions that do not have an immediate need of a starter or depth player. If they can fill needs with free agents like last year, then come draft time they can pick BPA at a position of upgrade, which makes the team better with more depth. If they do overpay for a free agent, it needs to be on the offensive side of the ball, unless the player is a clear difference maker that makes the defense a Super Bowl capable defense.

I expect them to sign a veteran center, but one at a lower cost than the 12 million Cushenberry is expected to get.

I would not pay 12M/yr. for Cushenberry either. The Steelers will probably sign another placeholder like Cole was and hopefully draft an eventual replacement. At some point the team needs to get back to developing players that makes a good team become a great team. They need to be finding more James Farriors and Ryan Clarks as well.

I'd pay it if Russell Wilson was the QB. Instant Chemistry between your QB and Center. You add a 1st round RT, and all of a sudden you have a real O-Line in Pittsburgh.

I also like Tannehill with his old center Aaron Brewer.

I mean... if Chicago cannot receive the trade compensation they want for Justin Fields... they will have to aggressively lower their asking price. Even if the Bears want a third or fourth?!... that might be too tempting to pass up; doubly so if a fourth is involved.

By that point though... Atlanta still wins out as their 3rd far exceeds Pittsburgh's in terms of value.

He probably wants to test the market, but yes the obvious is staring them right in the face.

Actually it should be his job to lose. Focus on the offensive line and repairing the drama diva action at WR.

Well a lot of RB'S are faster than linebackers we need someone like that . FWP was a good one he wasn't asked to be a blitz pu guru. IMO we need to move away from that a more mobile QB helps with that as well...
