I would love to get Ebron in the first and street with our extra 4th that would solve everything and Street knows Heinz field.

There is a list of offensive guys I would be willing to draft, even focused on needs, but many of those won't be available when we draft at 15.

    Matthew OT
    Watkins WR
    Evens WR
    Ebron TE
Benjamin WR - With small trade back
Seferian-Jenkins TE (I still think he may be the best TE in the class)

I think Ebron will be there. You know your typical stupid drafting teams are going to continue. I could see 3 maybe 4 qbs going in the top 15 and IMO none are worth it. I would be happy with Ebron, Benjamin, or Evans in the first which the later two would change my street pick.

I could live with 3 offensive players OL,TE,RB
in which round I am not sure just yet.
OL and RB no earlier than 5. TE maybe 3rd.
WR undrafted, there will be boatloads of WR
    available that have quality.

why bother with a 5th or later round pick on the O-line? what have you gained just saying we picked an o-lineman. if your going to use a pick one, then get one that can be a help.

everyone thinks munch is going to be a savior, and he will be an upgrade but he hasn't coached O-line in awhile. bruce Matthews was his O-line coach. I'm not saying he can't do it but he just hasn't had too. he's just not going to all of a sudden turn every player into an all pro.

pouncey will not start out as the same pouncey we have been used to right off the bat either. expectations are possibly a little way overstated by some board members of what munch will bring right out of the gate, with what he has to work with. these are still the same players that have given up 40+ sacks a year and haven't had a 1,000 yard rusher in two full seasons.

Pouncey will be ready to go he will be almost a full year removed from the injury. This isn'tlike heath, mMandy, snack, and starks who all went down late in the season.

He's going to be a hell of an upgrade Mac, don't care that Matthews was his coach and no he isn't going to make everyone an all pro but do we really need to have one at every position? I'd settle for just good if it means not throwing even more draft picks at the line. And as I have said several times, I'm sure Munch will go to Colbert and MT and say you have to get me help if he believes the guys we have won't cut it.

And by the way, our rookie RB had nearly 900 yards and missed the first 3 games.

The line was making improvements, it wasn't all smoke and mirrors. Some of us just want to see what probably is the best line coach in the business, can do with some of our recent high draft picks before tossing them in the garbage.

I never said he won't be good for us and that he can't do it, I'm just saying we have to be realistic about what he can do. I have never said we should throw them all in the garbage either.

we still didn't have a 1,000 yard rusher for two years and our franchise qb was sacked 42 times. again. 1,000 yards rushing in 13 games should be doable. it's not a big stretch for a feature back to achieve. 1,000 yards in 16 games is only 62.5 yards a game. everybody thinks this is just a done deal and it's not. same as pouncey being back to full ability from day one. there are no guarantees. just expectations.

that's like saying since ben played every snap that we should be in the playoffs. that seemed to be the thinking from the year before, when he was hurt and when he came back. if he could have only been healthy we would have done better. well he was, but we still didn't get to the playoffs. nothing is a guarantee.

not trying to strengthen a weak point on your team, is not a real good way to build a winner either.

yes I'm sure munch will evaluate these guys. what you don't do is wait and evaluate them in camp after the fact and hope and pray they are good enough based on last year. it's just that, last year.

we waited until camp to evaluate adams and gilbert for the LT spot last year. that didn't work out well for us. we were damn lucky we found a couple of centers so beachum could go to LT. just hoping munch can make gilbert or adams better at LT is no way to go into the season. you will never convince me they had a good plan in place for our tackle spot going into last year and all of a sudden it will change with the same players. I hope they do become good, but not from what I've seen so far to just do nothing or just add a 5th or 6th or 7th rounder to fix it. we can argue this til the cows come home.

And we will, because thats how we roll here :smiley1:

I will agree that I hope they don't wait to camp to make evaluations, I hope Munch is already knee deep in film.

I'm confused. are we agreeing to disagree, or disagreeing to agree with this disagreement?

seriously, do we have to rethink lewan?

kouandjio runs like this and looks somewhat slow in drills, but also looks so good at a lot of things on tape. quite the mystery this one is. is Richardson in the mix? billy turner? moses? britt? Johnson with his shorter arms? Brandon Thomas? it's hard to get a handle on some of these guys. there will definitely be some movement on some draft boards before the big day and a lot to evaluate. it is football in shorts.
