    The John Carpenter remake was awesome but I still like the 1951 version as well with Marshall Dillon playing The Thing! The old B&W Sci-Fi's required you to allow your imagination to run rampant in your morbid brain rather than artificial CGI doing it all for you. Same thing with remake of the 1958 cult classic The Blob (although original was in color and shot on location around Valley Forge PA). Chilly Billy Cardille and Rege Cordic's late fright night movie shows did a great job with these oldies. :zombie::fright:
