... how this is the first time in a few years that the message board is not littered with threads about how to fix the O-line.

It's fantastic and yet, almost eerie at the same time. It's how I know it's August every year...now my internal clock's all screwed up.

I think DeCastro starts from day 1. Adams? Eventually, but not right away.

Unfortunately, I think it's the Defense that will be the problem this year.

I still think DeCastro turns it on when the bullets fly....but as of today...Foster is still your starter...and is earning it everyday.

As far as the camp quotes I am reading, it seems as though the D front 7 are owning the O-line for the most part and Decastro is not blowing minds. I'm sure he'll turn out to be fine, but he isn't lighting things up like Pouncy did. Yet...

I saw where Pouncy said this young guys just need to come in and be as physical as they can be because mistakes are sure to happen since they are young, new and inexperienced. But they need to compete physiacally as hard as they can. Good advice!

I like that Steve McClendon is stepping up, that Rainey appears to be the real deal, that Redman has embraced his "new" role and that August 9th is almost here!

I think we've got some good young CB's on the team too, which is probably the 2nd biggest complaint. Crazy.

That the clowns appear to have a decent owner now and they will hopefully drive to elevate the clowns to at least a competitive level. More competition in the AFC North is a good thing for the Steelers.

I love how we are getting zero coverage, the analyists are writing us off saying we are old etc. I think this year we surprise a lot of the "experts" and end up hosting the AFCC game on our way to #7. The key is health. I think we are younger and a lot more deeper across the board then we have been in a long time.

Let ESPN continue to talk about the Jets. I will love it when we smash the crap out of them this fall!

My only concern is I hope the new Clowns owner leaves our front office alone. Go find your own guys outside of the Steeler organization!

I like how Tomlin is trying to stay ahead of the curve with injuries and time off for players.

The regular season really has there different stages that I see come into play. First 3rd middle 3rd and then the long leg of last 3rd and post season. Sure I like when we come out sharp and get a nice lead in the standings but that has a relaxing effect in the latter part of the season which can be a negative. I think this team needs a slow maturity into their own this season. We will see their strength build as opposed to coming out like a a rocket and maintaining that level.

I love Foster and was very surprised and impressed with him last year. I think he's reached a point where he's a good starter and an amazing backup. And I'm sure he's performing even better now than he was when he was in camp.

But no way do they keep DeCastro on the bench. They know what he is and they will get him out there, even if Foster has an edge. On the other side, Colon is making money and proving he deserves it. Unless there's an injury, Foster won't start.
