When the Steelers didn’t go for that 4th and inches from their own 30 early in the 2nd quarter. It was another gutless move by Tomlin playing it safe much like we have seen this entire 5 game losing streak. Gutless no heart football. So what happens next the Steelers punt it back to the Ravens who then took the ball after that and rammed down the Steelers throats and made it 14-0. Not saying getting that 1st down changes the game but you had to take some ballsy chances and risk in this game if you were gonna have any chance to win and that was the real first one of the night and as soon as Tomlin punted there I knew it was game over.

Friermuth also has to be able to get an extra inch there after catching that ball on 3rd and 2. He is another guy that is soft and doesn’t seem to ever go that extra mile to make extra effort to make a big play when they need it. He drops balls, he fumbles, he gets tackled too easily for a big man and he is apart of the problem as well on this team. Can’t wait to hear the National media praise Tomlin and the team like Herbstreit did in the 2nd half last night for not quitting in this game. It’s sickening to listen too and unfortunately with clueless Art running things nothing will change.

Those were the 2 things that upset me the most. Muth not being able to out leverage a CB is Fkn soft.

I would rather live through a 4 win season and get a QB, than hear this never having a losing record crap.

I believe that was a direct result of the previous weeks of going for it and failing.

Feeling snake bit and lived in his fears there.

I probably would have went for it, but the reality is, if you don’t get it, they are immediately in field goal range.

I recognize it was such a short distance to convert, but we have had situations this season where we got completely stonewalled on 3rd or 4th and short. Our OLine is part of the issue there.

I'm not going to worry about punting. In that position I think you have to punt. What makes a person think the Steelers could have made it? They haven't all year.

Didn't matter. They were checked out earlier. I think it might be a situation where the players know the scheme sucks.

When Tomlin called TO with under 2 mins in 1st half with Ravens having the ball. Like we were going to A stop them forcing a punt and B us scoring after said punt. Go into the half happy to ONLY be down 14-0 especially the way we played on both sides. Nope that TO helped them score a TD with seconds on the clock

I missed the coin toss. So when I turned the game on I figured we had lost the toss and the Ravens chose to kick the ball. What in the world is Tomlin thinking? Then the Ravens get the ball to start the second half. I have no clue what goes on inside his head. But he's working on it.

"I’m just assessing what transpired tonight," Tomlin said. "As I told you guys earlier in the week, those are my bags, not this collective’s bags. And so my energy is on that group in there and what they were willing to give and the journey that we’ve been on this year, and certainly it came to a disappointing end tonight."

See? It's ok. He's in the midst of "assessing" what happened! The journey is the important thing. So sick of this meaningless word salad.

For sure, but it's still cowardice. Risks have to be taken to beat elite teams, especially if you're the underdog. We're not going to line up and go punch for punch with Baltimore. We need a turnover or 2 and need to play aggressive to get points. We didn't. We chose to play it safe and Baltimore proceeded to bend us over as a result.

I remember Sean Payton going for an onside kick in the SuperBowl to open the 2nd half. Belichek regularly played very aggressive. The Eagles always go for it on 4th down. Sometimes it blows up in your face, but at least go down swinging.

Cowher used an onisde kick in Superbowl XXX and probably wins the game if not for poor QB play. Shows have important the QB - coach combo is. Need both or you're not winning.

I was 99.9% sure it was over when they drove 95 yards for a TD on their first possession. A complete lack of leadership and accountability on this team.
