You tell me how this can happen after a full season worth of games and practices and in the middle of a playoff game if it is not due to simply not practicing properly??

May be the LT that they drafted in the first round, but have been playing at RT finally had enough and decided to pull to the left and play as a LT after the snap.

Thanks for posting. I kept hearing about this play where both tackles were pulling in the opposite direction, but I don't remember seeing it in the game.

Pat Meyers is a freaking clown.

    Old news

Blast posted this a while ago along with someone else

Saying just because one player screwed up indicates they aren’t practicing properly is foolishness

That is not the first play in the nfl where a player ran the wrong play

I realize people want to vent but there is a lot of foolishness being posted

There are several other indications that they aren't practicing properly.

I guess I don't spend my time reading every single post everyone posts here... lol... I kinda feel bad for those who read every single post here and keep tab on double posts. :)

Getting back to the real topic (i.e. talking about steelers and not bashing other posters), you are saying that they've been practicing that play since the preseason, all weeks and games from September to mid January, and then suddenly, in the most important game of the year, one player made a mistake on it?

I guess that's a possibility where pro players can't even learn plays after 7 months of practicing them. But that's a pretty foolish of a assertion to make.

Cut Jones some slack. He went to Georgia and had the misfortunate of being drafted by a coaching staff that does not know how to develop talent along the offensive line.

It didn't happen once. It happened multiple times. Just as there were issues with players on defense constantly being out of position and blowing coverages late in the season.

But my mom told me once I was good at foolishness. And mischief. She said I might not go looking for it, but I was sure good at finding it.

I remember in High school the two guards on our team pulled in opposite directions for a trap play. High School. Not professional football. I disagree with you. This is emblematic of a team that does not stress the fundamentals. It should not happen in a pro game. It is most definitely not foolishness. Witness the defensive backs looking at each other with their arms out stretched nearly all the time. That is also indicative of a team not knowing what they are doing. How many times have we seen that? This team is not a well prepared team to play in games.

One of my hobbies is to get your attention. Kind of like saying "let's go for a walk" to a dog, and seeing them all excited and happy, and then going for a walk. It's a joyful experience.

So mom and dad got you a puppy for Christmas

No wonder you are excited and wanted attention

I would have been the same way when I was a kid

    Good for you

You'd think a man making dollars like they make would do everything in his power to stay in shape and practice the trade that got him those dollars. They have to know it's a short career for most.

The worst part of it is that I heard at least one analyst mention that this wasn't a one-time incident. It happened many times.

Christ hadn't been born yet when you were a kid, so that would've been a truly miraculous Christmas present.
