I have an old winter Steelers coat that I use at work, that I've had for about 9 years. It recently got badly damaged and torn beyond repair. This coat has been repaired many times in the past and nothing more can be done for it. What would be the best/respectful way to dispose of my honored and longtime friend. Lets keep it light and have some fun with it.

Take it to a seamstress and ask her to take the lining out & cut it down to make a couch cushion with just the logo part.

Cut out and frame the logo part.

I have a few in the same condition as I'm sure many others have.
It would be cool if there was a place that we could all donate them and have someone sew pieces of them all together to make on huge backdrop that they could hang in the great hall at Heinz Field accross from the old lockers. Kind of an appreciation tribute to the team over the years from the fanbase.

That is a very cool idea!! :applaud:
Several years ago, I had a girlfriend who took a bunch of my old, outgrown/trashed heavy metal t-shirts, and cut them into peices that she sewed together into a quilt.
I loved it, and it looked AWESOME!... Still keeps me warm, too, even though she is gone... Hahaha...
Something like that could easily be done with worn out Steeler gear, too, although I`m not sure how it would work with "Jacket" material (leather, suede, etc...) :towel:
