I hate watching this team play lately...

I think we older Steeler fans will have to get use
to what you describe. TH was brought in to
extend Ben's playing career, to get rid of the ball
quick. With our past/present ol you can certainly see why.#26 is the key going forward barring injury and used properly this could get fun. along with AB& @7 you have some pretty good ball players lining up on offense.

 

I told my wife before the game that this could be my last game watching the Steelers. Not because I was going to turn into a fair weather fan but because I didn't think my heart could take another "normal" Steelers game. I told her I would love to see us come out and blow someone away (especially as much as the expert thought their defense would destroy us). I was in the same boat about not feeling comfortable until the muffed punt and then I thought about it and realized I was feeling that way because we have played so many games in the last few years and ended up struggling instead of stepping on the throttle. I would like to thank my thread on believing the defense should be more aggressive on this win (had to pat my own back)!

 

we are setting it up to have playmakers on the outside and inside. I'm telling you once they get dri into the mix we are going to wear defenses out as the game goes on. AB and dri on either side and cheech and chong running the gut and catching passes. this makes defenses have to play in and outside and chase from sideline to sideline. they get tired and then we have heath, brown, wheaton and soon moore and Bryant going over them as we suck them up to defend all the short inside out stuff. this is taking so much pressure off of the line and allow them to concentrate on using this zone blocking on multiple targets. they don't have to sustain blocks on one guy near as long. it's still progressing. the best may be yet to come.

 

I'm curious what we are going to look like once Dri gets in there too. When are we looking to get him back actually?

 

Ok Mac, I had to laugh at the Cheech and Chong reference...that was really good!

Sweet. I've been wanting to watch him. I hope he shows up on special teams. TB looked horrible in that phase against the falcons the other night. I expect AB to kill them on punt returns if he gets the ball. I think Dri could bring some pain as well.
