Dallas played all their starters. Worked out OK for them.

Sit Ben, Pouncey, Bell, and Brown. The rest can play. I hope Deangelo gets a good amount of carries and knocks off the rust. Same with Toussaint. I'd like to see Ayers get a ton of playing time.

That's true but I have a hard time feeling sorry for them. They should just care that the Steelers don't lose anyone to injuries.
If the Steelers don't play everyone to win the game I lose $6,000.00 because at the start of the season I bet $3,000.00 on the Steelers to win more than 10 games. To do that they needed to run the table and win 7 in a row after their losing streak mid season. They have won 6 but they might not make 7 if they determine sitting players is best for the long haul. I'm fine with that because winning the SB is all that counts right now. I bet $3,000.00 on the Browns and took the points. I probably will lose the $6,000.00 and win the $3,000.00 so the net loss is $3,000.00. A small price to pay for a SB. Maybe it works out that the Steelers win but by less than the spread and I win both bets. I'm not holding my breath.
The main thing is the Steelers are poised to take #7. Hope they do it.

Tomlin said today that guys like Ben,AB,and Bell probably aren't going to play which is by far and away the correct decision to make here. Make sure all these guys are healthy when the playoffs start next week no reason at all to risk it for even one split second.

Good idea if I only wanted to break even but I don't care about breaking even. That doesn't help the animals. The 3,000.00 I bet at the beginning of the year isn't in my pocket so if I bet 6,000 .00 and lose I'm out of pocket 6,000.00 plus the 3,000.00 I bet at the beginning of the year.
If I bet 3,000.00 and lose I'm out 3,000 but with the 6,000 I win by the Steelers winning over 10 games I'm actually 3,000.00 to the good. If lady luck decides to be really nice the Steelers win but by less that 6.5 points and I walk away with 9k. By the end of the weekend I just want to make sure I add some money to the donation for the animals. This weekend is time sensitive because they have matching funds in place thru 1/6/17.

fanforlife, Excuse my ignorance, but what animals are you referring to?
I don't get on here very often if it's site related. Thanks

My wife of 45 years past away almost 9 years ago. We knew she was dying for some time and a few days before the end she told me one of the things bothering her most was all the work and effort she spend working with animals would not be continued. She was as big of an animal lover as me and she knew there was no way I could pick up the slack with the things I was doing for the animals. I promised her I would find a way to make up for her not being here to help the strays, abused and helpless animals.
The way that I found was to raise as much money as I could annually and donate it to Best Friends Animal Shelter in Utah in her name. That was her favorite charity because they have a no kill policy and they help an unbelievable number of animals of all types. So every year I start in the summer betting on the ponies and carry it through football season. The last 3 years have been lucky and good and I have raised 20k over the 3 years. This year I have been very lucky and have raised 30k. That is a small drop in the bucket to donate to them because they go through millions supporting the large number of animals they work with.
I guess it loosely slides as being site related because 75% of my bets are on the Steelers. It's something I can do to help animals and to keep my promise to my best friend ever.

Thanks for the response. That's very good work you do to honor your late wife and to save the animals. It sounds like you know your book too, congrats.
