I don't know what is the plan of the steelers

I don't know the gist of the conversation I guess because I keep seeing 8-8, and 500 on every other post, and people saying it's the standard. How can going 8-8 only 3 times out of 17 season be considered the standard???
Actually if you do the math 11 win seasons would actually be the standard, but that doesn't fit people's narrative.

I'm living in the now. You guys are living in fantasy world....proof....standard is 500. LoL.....anyone with a little bit of basic math would tell you that anything that's 3time , like going 500 in 17 tries is not the standard. The standard would be closer to 11 wins. Like the 10 wins the last two seasons. Anything else is feelings over facts, but I know that's how young people role Today.

In our best years, when standards were high, the question was whether this would be the year the Steelers won the Super Bowl.

Now, the question for the media before each year is whether the streak of non-losing seasons will continue this year.

Especially when You can't go 8-8, and when we have, we've only done it 3 times in the last 17 years, and not once in the last 5 years. So how could it be the standard??? I'm talking facts, and you are talking feelings.

So the standard is 10 -11 wins, yes that is true. Do the math. I came here trying to tell everyone the standard would be 10-11 wins, not 8-8, or so called 500, and because people let their feelings get in the way, they are try to change the narrative.

More 9-10 wins and the only reason they have 10 wins is because the season is 17 games now....How many times the steelers had a 11 wins seasons or better since 2018?

The steelers had a 11 wins season only once in the last 7 seasons(12-4 in 2020).They were around 8-8 to 10-7 in the other 6 seasons

Easier said than done...Best chance to get a true franchise QB is to be in the top 10, so it'll be a little cheaper if they need to trade up

 

I don't recall the Chiefs being in the top 10 when they got Mahomes, who cares if they trade some of those 12 draft picks?

 

It's possible but it's still very hard to do.

 

The cost for the bears to have Justin Fields in the 2021 draft was way bigger(19 to 11 I believe)...sometimes the prices to trade up change.....

 

I'm not worried about it because it's not like there will only be 2-3 QBs going in the first round next year.

let me dumb it down further for you:

1. Steelers actions have been walking like a lame duck for almost 10 years
2. Steelers actions have been quacking like a lame duck for almost 10 years
3. Steelers actions have even laid duck eggs (actually goose eggs in the playoffs) for almost 10 years

at some point, Steelers are nothing but ducks.

Actions talk louder than your dumb emotes and words… show some systematic actions Steelers have taken that actually make any reasonable person think Steelers have done anything to become SB contenders over last decade.

don’t even tell me, let’s say you met a Ravens fan and had to defend the Steelers. What would you say?
