Haven’t you heard? Losing by 20 in the wild card round and losing the AFCCG by 3 points are exactly the same thing. I’ve given up debating the point. The nonsense being fed back to me hurts my head too much.

No, it's not the same thing.

The team that loses by 3 points in the AFC title game, at least they had a chance to win. They were a few play away from winning, and maybe with better luck, the result would have been different. We can defend that.

When you're embarrassed in every year in wild card round...that's not the case, you can't say it's bad luck. And a coach can be fired because of that

This is like saying after 2018 that Marvin Lewis=Andy Reid minus the 2004 season

They're building up the rest of the team like they should so when they get their franchise QB he will be good to go.

Only a fool would believe that, but again.......
This has nothing to do with the Steelers, Tomlin, or anything less than the whole NFL.
What I'm trying to show the kid is there are no stepping stones to make the SB.
I use facts, and history some of you use feelings. I have years, and years of data to support what I'm say, but hey guys , go with your feelings instead, we know how well that works. LoL

Franchise QB are very hard to find.It took 21 years between Bradshaw and Ben and it took longer for some other team....This is not impossible they find their franchise QB in 2026 and I hope it will be the case but it will be harder to have one if the steelers draft around 20 once again even they tried to trade up after.I don't think there will be like 3-4 future franchise QB in the 2026 draft and team like the rams have 2 first round pick,so they will have the edge over us for that.I guess we will see

    You are.
This has nothing to do with the Steelers, Tomlin , or anything less than the whole NFL.
What I'm trying to show Him is facts, not feelings, everything I said is backed up by over 50 years of data.
There is no stepping stone to reach the SB. None.
Hell if You go back , and read again what I wrote, I gave more than a handful of examples, and those are just off the top of My head, and those are just the ones that made the AFC, and NFC championships, ......None ever reached a SB with those teams....., and guess what the next step for those that believe there are steps would be???? It would be a SB, but it doesn't work like that. Never has......Yes people can give outliers, but You can give outliers to anything.
I'm not even including teams that just won a playoff game.

Notice how You must always change the rules, and move the goal post to try and support what You said. Those teams made it AFC, and NFC championships.....by your so call believe the next step would be a SB.....maybe when You watch football longer you will realize it doesn't work that way. I can give you over 50 years of data to prove the fact, but you rather let your feeling overrule true facts. There is no changing the mind of this type of person, so I'm done wasting my time with facts.

Well, it's a good thing the 2026 draft is loaded at the QB position unlike 2025.

It's what they should have done instead of drafting Pickett.

You can't compare a team like the 2017 jaguars who are a one hit wonder to a team like the Bills with Josh Allen who have cough the door so many time....I don't think this is hard...

Tell the truth, and say what you really mean.....what You are really saying is .....You can't use teams that undermine what I want to believe. That what you should have said.
Saying I can't use them is like saying that any Qb that only made the SB once doesn't count. LoL
You children, and Your feelings. LoL

good point and I agree. But if pickett had come out a year earlier or later, he would have been the 4th or 5th best QB available...and where the steelers pick in the low 20s.....pickett would have been the QB available anyway.

The odds are much better when you're knocking on the door almost every year than when you're a one-hit wonder.

The 2017 Jaguars weren't a contender before or after 2017.

But I know this is hard for you

I would have taken a shot at a QB in that draft, but definitely not in the 1st round (or 2nd)

Again please try using thought for saying that You are say all Qbs that only made the SB once don't count, and we know that is bull$hit.
For once kid....try ,try , try using You brain instead of going by how You feel.
By saying this guy's Like Cam Newton going to the SB never counted, and you are saying his season was a fluke, and shouldn't count. Since He only had 3 winning seasons in his entire career, and only won one playoff game outside of the season He made the SB.

That's exactly what I was getting at, and exactly what I was b*t*hing about in that draft. Build the team, and don't reach for a Qb.

I agree that the 2015 season was a fluke for the panthers...One hit wonder can happen but can't count on that.No bigger fluke that the 2017 jaguars too
