I'm just writing this game off, thus meaning I can't be disappointed when we lose, but will be overjoyed if we win

 

That was one of the clean hits that Burfict had on Saturday. That's why getting that 1st round bye is so important and why giving games away in the regular season is so harmful. It's really one of the Pats biggest reasons for success over the last 12 years - they don't usually give away games that cost them seeding (this year they dropped from the 1 to the 2).

The Steelers blowing both Raven games dropped them from the 2 seed to the 6 seed forcing them to play Saturday instead of waiting at home for a banged up opponent.

 

I think the only way we win is a low scoring game where our D put pressure all day on Manning. I think Ben will play with his injury to give us a chance. Doubt Brown or Williams will play.

I think by then the narrative will have become so twisted into how we are the bad guys, cheats, violent etc. then the fundamental issue will be discipline. Refs will be drilled to call everything and anything.

That's not a complaint against the refs - they should call everything and anything. That's their job. What we need to see is the Steelers not giving them good reason.
