That might be funny if it wasn’t so incredibly sad

There could be some truth to it to ..... We had Fields and Wilson last year after all......lol
    .
I will say though that I would love to have the job as qb3. Get paid a few million dollars and don't even have to put on a uniform most of the time.

I think Khan's plan is to have someone from the stands come down and play. The Steelers could raffle off a roster spot every week before game time. :clapping:

Or maybe take a page from the Eagles and have an open tryout for QB before the season starts .

I know he wants to play, but why make your life difficult. Kirk Cousons signed with Atlanta, his wife is from that area, now he is a back up making 27 million this year, he requests a trade, why? You have made over 230 million in career earnings, dude go through the motions and smile.

It will be even worse than that with Rudolph, Thompson and a rookie mid round draft pick. It will be the worst QB room since 1969 when it was Shiner and Hanratty and we went 1-13.

We did. We would have been better off in the long run to have brought him back. At least he showed improvement over what we saw in Chicago and has a chance to improve more. The rest of them just leave the team in the exact same position next season

Is Mason veteran enough to carry the season? Meaning, can he start the season and keep that job all season? If yes, draft a rookie and let that be the room. If no, we need another veteran whether we draft a rookie or not.

I'd take being 3rd string and hardly ever used in MLB and NFL. Great money for 10-15 years of pretty much just staying in shape.

I would think most Pro's want to be in the games.

It seems to me that the Steelers are being played like a fish by Rodgers. If they are determined to sign an older quarterback, Unibrow Joe Flacco would be much cheaper, and he can probably still get the ball airborne. The added bonus of having the Ravens' heads explode twice a year would be worth the price of admission.

In that situation, the only difference between this year and next year is that next year's quarterback class is supposed to be much better than this year's. So perhaps we would have better choices. Kicking the can down the road one more year...... Groundhog Day.

Just think about that amount of money for being a backup. As a backup, there are many games that he will never even see the field. If Atlanta doesn't make the playoffs, he might see the field and what five or six games? And even when he does see the field it will be most likely as a relief near the end of the game or for a couple plays when the starter has to come out for something. In the bang for the buck department, that might work out to something along the lines of $5 million dollars a game played? All day long, every day of the week, twice on Sundays I would take that payday.

I'm still holding out hope for a Chad Powers, Gus Swayze, and Mason Rudolph QB room. It seems like the only logical choice at this point.

Cliff Stoudt was Bradshaw's backup for years before finally taking a snap in a game. He qualified for his pension before ever playing in a game.

Got to look at what happened last year though. they went from using the whole field to an absolute mess with the O-line and stupid play calls again.

When they first brough Wilson on the field he was hitting the middle and the TE's.

Combined age in that room is over a century. There's a ton of tapioca pudding passed around, in-between film sessions

1-13 gave us Bradshaw, I am hoping that Mason Rudolph can get us Arch Manning next year. Rudolph helped the Titans to get the top pick this year I know he has it in him to get us the #1 next year.
