I’m one of the most negative dudes here just because real steel and Heinz are my hero’s but I’m pretty stoked going forward. I personally don’t think we will compete next year but I think Ben will light it up and be fun to watch.

Steelers will be a glass cannon and hopefully score in bunches.

I’m negative as some and I’m not even thinking super bowl, Steelers just look fun as hell right now.

 

I'm worried about ILB. Might as well bring back Timmons for a year.

 

If we played a true 3-4 now, i would agree. Lets face it shazier isnt much bigger than edmunds. Williams isnt a srub and bostic is a decent player. I feel good about the defense if all the tools are in the box. Gotta stay healthy.

If u play heyward, tuitt, and frazier. Those linebackers are gonna run around. Frazier will command a double. I think edmunds or allen in the box is an option. We could put 3 safeties on the field at same time. Both can tackle well.

I think this group is gonna be fun. Alot of speed

Bigben - I am glad to see you excited about the Steelers. Considering where they ended 2017, the players they let go, signing Bostic and Burnett fairly cheap, I am fine with what they drafted. They may be a better team this year, but their record may not be 13-3. There doesn't seem to be as much drama this year, so that is also a good thing.

 

Afc is crowded this year. Just saying they should be a highlight reel team lol. “SHOULD”

I’m glad you’re optimistic the Steelers being a fun team but don’t agree with your assessment about not being able to compete.A bad rule about what is a completed pass that was changed this year and 3 point difference in the divisional game was the difference between being knocked out in the first round and a possible Super Bowl! On that note we should be very competitive and with coaching changes on the defensive side of the ball and a few different players here and a few gone could be all we need to get us over the hump!I know your Post was a generally positive one but I had to throw in my two cents about if we can compete or not this year.

 

I believe we will witness him morphing into "MightyMasonMancrush". Get ready.

*Sigh* I didnt say a nice thing about the draft at the time. In the moment I hated it. But I'm coming around. Maybe it was AQL's constant optimism. Maybe its the potential by numbers of having a strong dime defense with ALL THESE STRONG SAFETIES, if just one of them can be rangey enough to play free. I mean, if anyone catches the ball on us they are gonna pay for it, which will be fun to see. Munch can make any Joe at tackle pretty good. Frazier will take Shade Trees job day one. Washington will be a very good "other receiver" to AB and Juju. Mason has some chemistry with him, great value in the 3rd, NOT convinced he's the next face of the franchise until I see it.
