I don't consider myself a moron or a fool, but according to you I must be because I don't understand any of this. That's the problem with your blanket statements.

It's easy for me to see that when you protest the national anthem while everyone is saluting the flag that people would justifiably think you were protesting the flag. I mean what else are people supposed to think? It's normal to assume a correlation between the the protest and the event being protested.

If I was protesting the evils of ice cream, I would protest outside of Baskin Robbins not Burger King.

Your scenario above seems (to me) to be the following:
I am protesting in front of Burger King
People assume I am against burgers
I say, "No, you moron, I'm against ice cream! You'd have to be a fool not to see it!"

For the life of me I can't understand what protesting the national anthem and the flag has to do with the actions of the police. If these protests were in front of police headquarters or at a Fraternal Order of Police golf tournament it would make sense to me.

I'd like to see the players that go out and protest these social injustices by kneeling for the NA work with the police departments and the community together to try and understand both sides of the problems. It might be very eye opening if they actually rode along with these officers to see what they deal with on a daily basis.

 

Putting all the other stuff aside, here is why I thought about Reid. Sean Davis to me is a bust right now, I'm still holding out hope he will improve but I won't hold my breath. His issue is football instincts and football I.Q. and there is no getting around at least one of those issues.

When he is at the LOS he can make plays when the opposing team runs the ball but when he has to make his own decisions in pass coverage he is a disaster. He can't read an offense, this is an area he should be learning but he is actually getting worse. He is constantly out of position and it wasn't just Mitchell, remember that Davis actually played even worse without Mitchell, that tells me where the problem is.

The other thing is the poor angles he takes when chasing down a runner, that is pure instinct and he just doesn't have it. I'm hoping that switching him to FS and working with Burnett will get him better but I highly doubt that will happen. I was thinking if you could get Reid extremely cheap that you could actually use Davis to trade Davis for an additional 5th or 6th round pick as that would be about the value.

Well, in my opinion... it's much ado about nothing. Fans are always needing something to whine about. I couldn't care less if a NFL player kneels, dances a jig, does a headstand, sleeps on the bench, etc... during the anthem.

 

I'm a little iffy on the sleeping part.

Let's go back to disagreeing on the Steelers.

3 weeks, 3 days until we have new fodder to debate.

 

I hope Steelers draft either ILB or Safety in the first round. Maybe OLB if a great prospect slips. Anything else would be a waste, IMO.

 

I just hope everybody picked up their trash in the parks this weekend... ****s getting ridiculous out here.
