I know its not realistic but what if?

What if we could trade Tomlin and Watt and Minkah?

What can you get for them?

Perhaps it isn’t wise to trade all of them but you can’t build a team around defense in this league anymore. These guys deserve to go elsewhere and be a contender. We clearly aren’t there yet and need some rebuilding. It isn’t fair to these guys at this point.

If you go and hire Detroits OC to be our HC and revamp the whole coaching staff both defense and offense, and make those trades what can you get in return? Probably throw in Cam Heyward as well.

Tomlin - 2 1st’s and 1 2nd to a team like Chicago or NYG.

Watt - 1 1st and a 2nd

Minkah - 1 2nd and a 3rd

Heyward - 1 3rd

You can use these to rebuild the team, get younger and cheaper and stock up to move up in the draft for your next franchise QB like Archie Manning or someone in the future.

It sounds terrible to trade these guys but at this point were losing with them and were losing bigly on defense as Trump would say. Why pay all this money for what?

Tomlin clearly does not have the answers. We aren’t just a wr and cb away or even franchise QB away. This team is broken foundationaly and they need major changes.

 

Just recently found out that Tomlin has a no trade clause in his contract

 

All things to think about. But be real - no one's giving up a pick for Cam. I love the guy, but a 35 year old? Who makes that trade for a non-QB?
