There's been a philosophy change of the mindset of these new players stepping up. In the past it seems as though this organization was attracting players who
"Wanted to play for Tomlin"
Vets like A Rod, Patrick Peterson, Darius Slay types. Who could get away with poor play and stay on the field.
Now, it seem like these new players just "Want to play football" as opposed to " wanting to "play for Tomlin".
The Nate Herbig, Jalen Ramsey, Darnell Washington, Jack Sawyer, Payton Wilson, Kenneth Gainwell, Jalen Warren, Pierre, Echols types will play in a phone booth with no refs if they could. These are the type of players the Steelers should be attracting going forward. Not the old vets who want a "player's coach" who's leniency tolerant.
