IMO, I don't think Steeler fans would have an issue if we were a dynasty like the Chiefs, but I think we would still have mixed feelings towards our off the field issues...

We couldn't care less about that other stuff if they were winning Superbowls. Ernie Holmes took a rifle and started shooting at cars on the Ohio turnpike and then shot at a police helicopter. But he stayed on the team and was a fan favorite when they won their first 2 Superbowls. Dating a pop superstar isn't even in the same dimension.

Avid NHL fans have to be PO'd with the Swift crap. Carrie Underwood married Mike Fisher* and got no fanfare. NFL tad bit bigger then NHL I'm convinced in 10 years Soccer will take over as #4 sport in USA.

*Great NHL Center. Was on the Nashville Predators when PENGUINS beat them for Cup.

I like how the whole Taylor Swift/Travis Kelce relationship has brought in millions of new NFL fans. I actually got to talk about the Superbowl with my granddaughter and her college roommate. Neither one ever watched an NFL game before this year and they were excited about watching the game. The estimated ratings for the game yesterday was 120 million viewers making it the second most watch TV event behind the 1969 moon landing.

 

Imagine if a Steelers player did that to Tomlin, what Kelce did to Andy Reid bumping into his HC and yelling at him .

Hockey is already about to drop below Soccer if it hasn't already. I also see Golf passing it. I couldn't tell you the last time I watched a Pens game.

I'm probably one of the few Steelers fans that have never watched a hockey game. The Penguins didn't even exist when I was growing up and the NHL was never on TV, so I just never had an interest in it.

 

I watch the Pens all the time and find hockey to be really entertaining. I have no idea what so many people find the thrill of watching soccer. I watched one game and was completed bored to tears.

 

Kelce seems like a hot head.
