Yeah that’s along the lines of what I was getting at. Some people have some strong stubborn opinions of certain aspects of the Steelers yet they’ve never attended a SINGLE game.
Somehow KnocksViagra turns that into me saying “If you’re not a lifetime season ticket holder you’re not allowed to have an opinion”
This is what happens when your so deep into a guys head. They are trying so hard to zing you that they fabricate things and totally reach in a failed effort.

I definitely have some stubborn opinions.
It is a little flattering knowing that you hang on my every post.

While I agree with your take on announcers mostly, sometimes the good ones can point out things in a way the casual fan might not catch.
As far as the last part, I've been to a fair share of live football games and sometimes the opposite of what you said is true. There are things you miss during the live game just as much as the other way around. Both are completely different experiences.
The other thing about announcers is that anymore, they're usually ex players so on most levels they are more knowledgeable about the game than most casual fans. Agreeing with their take on something isn't always necessarily a bad thing. It's doing it all the time with no original thought that makes people stale.

Curious??? What does attending a single game have to do with whether or not someone should have opinions???

Not a season ticket holder. I try to get to a game once a year. This year it will be the Steelers vs Bucs in October.

In the 60's I went to 9-10 games and was at the Immaculate Reception game where I spent most the game being a punk kid in the tunnels. Missed the catch but sure had fun after it. Since then I've only been to pre-season games for the Steelers. I like to go and see both the Pirates and Steelers so it's usually in August. Very easy to get tickets for both.

Since Heinz Field opened in 2001. Had occasional single-game tickets before that for TRS.

I went to a game at the Dolphins stadium and was very disappointed

    Their fans were boring

The sound system in the stadium was horrible and excessively loud

My dad had one for 54

Hopefully I pass him in a couple of years

There is a brick outside the stadium with his name on it

    Note I’m talking Miami

I did see a game in the Georgia Dome years ago

There were more Steelers fans than Atlanta fans

By the end of the third quarter the stadium had run out of all alcohol

Their fans come in late and leave on the middle of the third.

With their new sphincter stadium it is worse. Because so many are walking around. Due to they have a lot of things to do. It's like if Disney land bought a stadium.... so it turns into their opposing fan base being able to make crowd noise.

I was recently in Miami and that is one eclectic group of people. I don't think most give a damn about the Dolphins.

Never been to Pittsburgh, but badly want to. Hard to get to games from Oregon.

I went to every miami home game and the playoffs during Marino rookie year. The guy I worked with had season tickets with a group of his friends. Every week someone didn't go so I bought the ticket. That was in the Orange bowl. Great seats too. There was a fight in our section every game. One week two guys were into it and a women do came up behind one as the other swung at him. He ducked and the guy but the cop right in the face. It was like the stadium had trap doors that every cop came out of at that point. We watched them drag this guy down the ramp as they beat him with Billie clubs. Back then you didn't mess with the Dade county cops. They came from every direction when something happend. Not just in stadium either. That was in 83. It was like the wild West in Miami at that time with the height of the cocaine influx in that area.

Come on, if (Tim) Lewis and (Ryan) Clark can do it, so can you. Just put it in reverse on the Oregon Trail. :drinks:
