How many "washed up" QBs throw for 500+ yards a game?

He's playing as well or better than any of the top QB's in the league right now.

 

Earlier in the season I made a post about his throwing motion and how he looked like he was trying to push the ball rather than throw it. This was particularly true on out paterns. I questioned if he was injured. He is no longer throwing that way. Perhaps you are right on point.

 

Ok, I’ve read this 3 times, and waited to respond. It still doesn’t make sense. As best I can tell, you are proposing we should say players are great when they play like crap. I can assure you, with few exceptions, that ain’t not happening in this here hollow.

 

I can see you are having some trouble grasping this. His 91 rating is his compilation of ALL HIS RATINGs from ALL SEASON, meaning it's his average, which takes into account his low games you mention. Your cherry picking is actually a way LESS accurate way to evaluate his performance.

Hmmm, I guess some of you can't grasp the #s in totality demonstrate Ben has the 2nd highest passing yards in the league, and a 91 passer rating. That goes far beyond just calculating one game, BUT, that one game (500+ yards) ALSO indicates Ben is not washed up and sucking, overall.

 

There are still people, in this very thread, trying to diminish his overall performance this season. Sure, some early games were not good, but OVERALL he is the 2nd most prolific passer THIS SEASON, and has a COLLECTIVE passer rating of 91. These are #'s that are CUMUlATIVE and tell the entire story. Yes, some still want to assert he stinks. That is a special kind of crazy.

 

You just proved my point, thank you. You also confirmed my hypothesis on your statistical ability. On average Ben has been ok this year. But making up that average, he has been very inconsistent. Let me help you:

I think what he's saying is: If you don't have a players back and you're constantly putting them down then said player probably don't want you as a fan?

Although, most people don’t particularly care what I think, let alone players.

 

I will just let you believe your own poop. It just doesn't matter to me if you have twisted, illogical patterns for a thought model. Never mind Ben has thrown for more yards than ANY NFL QB save Brady. He must have really stunk it up this season.

You can say that but just how long and how poor did he play if he has a 91 rating and passed for more than every single QB except for one? Not considering those facts makes one skewed.

Why are you all arguing, you root the for the same team... They are 11-2 and are exactly in the position we wanted them to be when they lost the AFCCG last year...

Anyways, Ben has had an up and down year, yes, but hes also put together 4-5 comebacks? Two of them HUGE comebacks against division rivals. They are 5-0 in the division. Give him credit.

To me, this is a so far amazing year and hopefully a sign of good things to come.
