did he have everything to do with it? Why I why wouldn't you want to give your young and hopefully up and ccoming QB weapons to work with?

Because there is only one ball, and We just signed DJ ....just drafted Pickens, Heyward, Warren, Muth, Najee, and C. Austin. All within the last few years. Who You taking out so the new guys can play???. You can only have so many on the field at one time.
If You want to spend a high draft pick on someone that will only see the field about 10% of the game that's fine...., but I believe We should get true starters for the positions We don't have them at 1st. That's all.

What positions don't we have starters? Will a Sean davis, Terrell edmunds, artie burns or Devon bush be our new starter over what we have? Are you taking peterson, wallace, kazee, Neal off the field for an untested rookie? I could see a big TE out of Notre dame or Georgia getting on the field as a huge part of increasing the offensive output.

Well since PP...is way old for a CB, and Has been busted with PEDs....let's start there, and since Wallace didn't really shine last year....Well that's two reasons for Drafting a CB high.
Then You have Kazee who has never been a starter here yet, and Neal who is injured all the time.....So there is two reasons for that position. Need I go on???
Like I said ....I agree with other picks, but I'd like to use our High picks on positions We don't actually know We have a starter at 1st. That's all.

Actually, Kazee did start four games this past season. He replaced Edmunds against the Raiders, and three other times, they opened with the three-safety look.

Also, he has started 53 games in the NFL, including 15 of them as recently as 2021.

I am concerned that they don't really have a true box safety, but I'm not at all concerned about Kazee being good enough to start in the NFL. He has proven that.

Wallace and Peterson might actually be fine as starters in the short term, but yeah, they definitely need to use at least one premium pick on a cornerback.

My thoughts are this is a very deep corner and safety draft. TE is not nearly as deep, at least not in a duel threat type of player as the top two.

I do know Kazee has started here, and did pretty well when He was completely healthy. I meant as a full-time starter. Many players have started at different positions many times.....that doesn't prove they can hold that position as a full-time starter......if I didn't make that more clear in My comments....My bad.

He has proven he can be a full-time starter in the NFL, unless you want to argue that starting 15 games for the Cowboys in 2021 doesn't count as being a full-time starter. He also started 15 games and led the league in interceptions in 2018.

    Again....I'm talking Here....in our scheme.
Why do You try to turn everything into arguments???
We have not seen Him play a starter role Here. I'm never said He couldn't, and...I never said He could in our scheme.....I said I wasn't sure.

Why aren't you sure football mastermind? You should know these things? You're smarter the nfl organizations. These are the type of questions they must know the answer to.

You have made comments like this repeatedly

Why is it that if anyone knows more about football than you you ask why the aren’t in the NFL

Maybe they make a living elsewhere in a field they also know more than you

    Like business for example

I don't turn everything into an argument, but I do find this idea that what players did elsewhere someone doesn't count a little silly.

Back to the subject of the thread… an article came up in my google news feed last night that suggests that some NFL team execs are saying that James Daniels may be available. I have no idea if it’s unsupported drivel or if the writer has actually spoken with execs from some teams who have some knowledge, maybe discussions with the Steelers about a potential trade. It would explain why we’re still looking at guards in the draft.

I hope we’re not headed down that path. Trading a guy who played pretty well after the 1st year of his contract sends a message to new potential free agents that they can sign with the Steelers and then possibly need to uproot and move to a place they may not want to go.
