He's going to get killed with the new O-Line. He doesn't have the legs to escape like he used to. I'd say he'll be gone within 10 games.

Is the Deer in the headlights still the #2?

Probably one of those who only saw the highlights on sports center.

The Oline did a very good job of protecting Ben today. Not sure what game you were watching. If they perform this well every week I'm certain he will make it through the whole season.

Enjoy the win, anybody could get hurt just stepping off a curb. Yes our OL
is going to need time to gel. But atleast let's give them a chance,

We just gonna pretend like they didn’t just play Buffalo? One of the Super Bowl favorites?

by the way, Ben looked great moving around.

I beg to differ. He played, but he didn’t play well. We saw the same things as last year. Passes behind receivers and or way over their heads.

I don't think the offensive line did a very good job at all. The Steelers were relying on quick throws to cover up for their weakness up front, just as they did last season. Okorafor is also killing them in the running game.

He was decent. Most of his misfires were under pressure, but he is going to have to make some plays on the move for this offense to work. The late one over the head of Harris comes to mind. He's got to make a better throw on that one.

One physical concern I had was when Ben ran and slid. When he got up he was grimacing. He seemed to limp to the huddle. I was concerned with a knee? A few plays later, he seemed ok.

He seems to always start the year out overthrowing receivers. In spite of that, he did play well. Hope he just settles in and gets even better.

I didn't notice that as much as the time his right shoulder got slammed into the turf. Was holding my breath on that one.

Ben played like pure garbage in the first half. The second half he also missed some throws badly (Najee Harris) but other times made some incredible passes in critical situations (JUJU and Claypool).

Overall, he played well enough to get the win over a team that many were predicting to go to the Superbowl. In other words, he came thru in a clutch and if he were benched at halftime we probably don't win that game 9.5 times out of 10. Mason wouldn't have been able to move the ball the way Ben did in the second half against that defense.

Ben needs to understand he isn't young Ben and running is not his friend, It was a scary moment as jeh mentioned when he took off and got up slowly. The knees are not your friend Ben. His throws were off point in the 1st half but then rebounded. All in all a decent performance.

Lets hope he survives EVERY GAME...

Ben did OK even that run he made he took a nice slide before getting pounded in the back. If I recall the only time Ben jumped right up was his first few years.

The o line played better as the game went on. They will be fine.
