How long do you fans really think it would take the Steelers to get back to the Super Bowl if we got rid of Tomlin, DL, and our offensive coordinator? If we made this move I don’t think I would never see the Steelers in the Super Bowl during my life time again and I’m 42. If we start getting rid of coached in the post season that would be the dumbest move we have made ever since running Bruce out of town. We must keep all of our coaches to maintain unit cohesiveness or this team will turn into the Oakland Raiders.

...and Roethlisberger too, like a lot of people were advocating when the Steelers were 0-4?

I'm not an advocate of firing Tomlin. I would give Haley another year. And Dick Lebeau, I would hope he retires but I would not fire him. I wish he would condense his system in such that it doesn't take three years for rookies to learn the system. Another reason for moving on from Lebeau is Butler. I don't think he's going to continue passing up coordinator jobs because Lebeau wants to stick around. If we want to continue any resemblance of Lebeau's system, we need Butler to stick around. If not, then we are looking at a complete over to Blitzburgh.

I hope they retain Lebeau in some capacity (defensive consultant) and give Butler is time.

I agree with you except that last sentence. If DL is done, then he's done. He shouldn't hover around the team casting a shadow over whoever the new guy is. The new guy has to feel as if it's his unit and his defense, and he's calling the shots, otherwise we could run into trouble.

We should keep all of our main coaches.

There are games, like the game Sunday night, where I think if we just keep it together one more year, we might be onto something. Then, there are other games where I just want to put the whole lot of coaches and some players, too, in the trash. I cant figure this team out and its driving me crazy.

The scenario you describe is exactly the Chargers M.O. Look how that's turned out.

This type of knee jerk reaction of firing coaches, cleaning house is what perennial losing teams do. Thank God some of you don't run this team, you don't have the stomach for it, 2 rough seasons and you go to pieces. This team has players in place, a good nucleus moving forward. Not to mention a QB that is proving a A LOT of you wrong.

Hard to say but as we learned during the 1998-2000 era, patience pays off eventually even if we're not feeling patient when the bad seasons are happening. A few big plays here or there can be the difference between 8-8 and the playoffs. After 2009 I thought we were done and the next year we were back. This team is lacking talent and speed at some positions but it is competing on effort and heart. Fix a few deficiencies and most importantly, keep Ben and things could turn around in a hurry.

This will be the 4th (or is it 5th) year in a row that the Chokers won't be in the playoffs. They've never won a truly meaningful game (superbowl) and have ownership that doesn't give a rats azz. Archie Manning is 100% right! You'll take that?

We are tied for 24th in the league at 50% scoring a TD when in the red zone. For a point of reference, Denver is tops at 78%.

Yes, but those stats include the first several abysmal games without Heath and Bell. And, include a rotation at Oline.

Very true. Steelers are 7 of 9 (78%) in the last 3 games.

How long would it take? It's quite possible they never bring home #7.
