I don't get as mad after a loss as I used to, before a loss would really affect my mood. These days it bothers me for a few hours, then I start thinking about the next game.

During this game my entire apartment got busted up by about 10 Steelers fans, many of whom started drinking several hours before game time. My roommate tried to throw 2 beer bottles thru the tv screen but missed and then upended a table full of beer bottles before I tackled him. There was broken glass everywhere. Needless to say, we've grown up a bit since then. It all happened at the Bubby Brister fumbled snap.

Since they took the game off here for being non-competitive. I shot my computer for giving me the bad news

Yeah this is pretty much my reaction to a loss as well. No sense in in getting that worked up, especially when you see the players after the game laughing and high-fiving with the opponents that just kicked their butts.

Vent online for a while, tune out national sports radio and TV, by Wednesday ready for the next game and filled with hope. The amplitude of my angst depends on the gravity of the game, circumstances involved, opponent, etc.

Wish I could enjoy life more and just check in on the Steelers, but I've got the disease and there is no known cure.

Exactly, the close ones are way tougher.

I was partying in the Big Easy last week so I wasn't sure if what I was seeing was real :lolol: I really only watched most of the 1st half then the group (all Broncos fans giddy off their win) wanted to go somewhere else. And that was fine by me. If I was home, I probably would have watched till the end but would have channel surfed the other games a lot.

Have definitely mellowed with age though. Losses big or small would affect me for a couple days back then.

I'm usually in a bad mood for about 24 hours after the loss. In my younger years, the bad mood would last for days.

Blame the coaching staff foR rookies making tons of mistakes after years of blaming the coaching staff for not playing rookies

TBH, if I'm working on a project at home and just back from the hardware store and come to find I forgot something or thought I had something but didn't, I get just as mad having to make a 2nd trip. Soooo annoying....as I don't live close to one. Soured me for awhile and I had to throw back some blue tasties. It happened yesterday and I thought of this thread. :lolol:

This stuff doesn't bother me nearly as much as it used to. My "fandom" is diminishing on an annual basis, mostly because I think the NFL has now crossed over into "Too big for its britches" territory. The off-the-field BS is now covered far more than the game themselves.

I was over the Philly loss by Tuesday. As recently as a few years ago, I'd be depressed all week.
