How did you become a Steelers Fan?

Born in the shadow of the mills.
Card-carrying homer ever since.

 

Then 1975 must have been the year a bunch of us became Steelers fans. I was five, looking through a Sears catalog at the older neighbor kid's house, when he asked me what my favorite team was. I picked the coolest looking helmet, without any idea it belonged to THE TEAM in the NFL. Super Bowl X is the first game in my memory.

 

I was born in Las Vegas, but my dad is from Monaca. He told me who to root for, and it was during the Terry Bradshaw, Franco Harris, Mean Joe Green, Steel Curtain era, it just kind of stuck.
