with 43 yards rushing (stat with 2 minutes to go ) and of course tinker bell had 36 yards on 18 carries.... everyone laughed when i said his 2.25 yards per carry in the preseason was about right for him... i gues i was wrong .. the 2.25 yards per carrry was wrong.. it was a little high.. he had 2 yards per carry today ... so basically he can get to the LOS and fall forward the length of his body ( approx 6 feet) and get his 2 years just falling forward.... 48 total yards rushing and 37 points.. go figure.. (end of game stat)

Of all the issues to pick up the team for, I simply cannot understand why people want to rag on Bell.

Watch him run, then watch any of our other backs run. Bell is the only back who looks like he might actually produce some yardage. He is the only one who seems to actually want to get more yards after first contact. (The one exception is perhaps Dwyer, but Dwyer is not better than Bell. Using the two together is the way forward, though.)

He's not "falling over", as you put it, because of his inability to run. He's not doing anything visibly bad that is leading to poor yardage. He's running behind an abysmal line, and, today, on a sodden field, the passing game was beating the Lions much more effectively.

We protected Ben. Plain and simple. That's the #1 thing that we need to do to score points, and it came together today.

LOL at "falling forward the length of his body."

It's not quite as easy as you make it sound.

Ben played well and the play makers made plays.

No one is running on the lions. But they aren't much for pass rushing what did they have one sack?

We scored 37 points (should've been more) because our QB is absolutely fantastic. He has an OC that is a horrible play caller (especially in the redzone), an OL that can neither pass block nor run block, and he lost a WR that is currently making 65 million dollars in another uniform. He overcomes all of that and has been nothing short of unbelievable with what hes got around him.

I know you aren't a fan of Bell Hines, but I don't think even Adrian Peterson could look good behind our OL. I wonder what Bell's yards after contact stat was today? Had to be more than he actually gained yards lol Must've gotten hit in the backfield on 85% of his runs. Could you imagine 43 yards and 47 yac? haha

Aye. Ben looked like his old self out there, room to run and extend the play. So much for worrying he was going to be crippled by them.

(Though he was limping at one point...)

Jones and Dwyer averaged 0 yards on their 1 carry each. Put Bell behind a decent run blocking line and his rushing stats would be fine.

Cause we passed the ball today
running the ball with our rbs is a waste of a down

ya know im soooooooo sick of people hating haley.. we had BA and everyone wanted to run him out of town .. he didnt do too bad when he left us did he.. filling in at indy... got a HC job... we are never happy... guy takes us to the SB and we still want him gone.. careful what we wish for.. yeah hales is a piece of crap .... but when it was announced 90% of people loved him on BA... now.. if people told the truth (which few do here) 90% would rather have BA back over TH... fact ... and SG bell had one carry of 13 yards.. so that means he had 23 yards on his other 17 caries.. less than a yard and a half per carry ... terrible

did you watch the game today? you realize we won right? And as far as Bell, no one is having a decent day running behind our o-line, especially against the lions defensive line.

This. Ben wasn't under siege every down. O-Line held up well on passing.

    *SMH* at this...really? REALLY?

Man it gets old...almost every week same ol' post from someone who clearly dislikes a player...just for the sake of starting s**t (even after a win for crying out loud). Some people....pathetic.

It's not how did we score 37, it should be how many pts did we leave on the field! Take the win, both sides of the ball played better with some plays left out there to be had...

We we won, and sure it could've been more handily... But we won!

on to the next game plz
