I dont know whats worse, that analogy or that it got an agree :lolol:

Steelers arent the only team to go for two. Guess they all have something in common with 12 year olds.

I dont recall them doing it that much this year anyway. There are much bigger things to concern yourself with.

Ridiculous statement to make...if it wasn't for Brady maybe Belicheck would have no Super Bowls. What does pointing out individual performance have to do with anything?? Key players make big plays in big moments and sometimes not so key players shine. Sometimes they step up and its still not enough. These games are determined just as much by luck, referee calls, weather as anything else. In the same breath that you said James and Santonio were responsible for the one ring maybe he would have two if it were not for Mendenhall. At the end of the day it's their own individual accomplishments that will secure them a place or not in the HOF. The fact that Marino has never been to a SB doesn't mean that he's not a HOF. Marv Levy took 4 teams full HOFs to SBs and never won one. Does that mean he doesn't deserve to be in the HOF? Get a clue. People would make themselves look less of an idiot if they were more objective and didn't take a game so personal.

It is going to be hard to do, but MT has to take back the locker room and set some rules down

going forward. He has let the inmates run the asylum. Art Rooney will have to back him though.

Looks like you've answered your own argument there Mr Hothead. Players/coaches with worthy accomplishments and stats deserve to be in the HOF. Tell you what "ILL", I'm sure when MT makes it to the HOF , he'll be looking for a useful idiot to introduce him. You would make a perfect candidate since you seem to have an abundance of pent up hatred for any comments that question MT's HOF-worthiness.

There are several strategic related areas of study the upper management and front office can present to him. As astute fans, we know basically what the team is good at and what it lacks, so let him study more of Noll's and Cowher's game management tactics - let him study other past coach's of repute tactics also. Better yet, don't let him just "study" these, TEACH HIM !

There's no need or time to "reinvent the wheel" - translate and adapt "known strategies that are proven to work" and put them in his arsenal. Use "high percentage (proven to work) plays" !!! Know the competition better than they know themselves, plan accordingly to this knowledge, then success is almost guaranteed.

Keep the players in check esp on social media cause they are young and foolish and will hurt themselves - they don't know any better and need firmness and instruction

KEEP THE PEDAL TO THE METAL when we have the lead in games, during off days, during off season !!! BAD, AVERAGE, AND ABOVE AVERAGE TEAMS TAKE DAYS/TIME OFF, CHAMPIONS DON'T !!!!

It's one thing for other teams to go for two when they have to. Tomlin does it just to do it. There's a big difference. It might be harsh to compare Tomlin to a 12 year old, but if the shoe fits lace that ***** up.

I could care less if he makes it to the HOF. I just don't see a reason why he couldn't make it. He's only behind Belicheck I believe in wins the last 10 seasons and if he wins another SB or two then he's a lock, but you still gonna be mad and sucking on lemons.

Never attempt an onside kick unless you are inside the 2 minute warning and have no timeouts. Unless, of course, you want to try it in the 2nd quarter. Then it's cool.

Start preparing better, identify weak spots quicker, make adjustments faster, put Teams away never let lesser Teams hang around, get younger guys more reps in games you control, get all Coaches on the same page ahead of the game. IE have a play ready and Haley not ready to call a play .Micro Manage if needed .IE if the DC is not making calls that are working step in and demand they try another approach during the series or the game not after the fact.

To me it all about in-game management ... not just clock-management, but knowing what to do in certain down and distance situations.

Uh... I think you better check your facts. Marino did make it to a Super Bowl.

I watched it. It happened. I guess I just take common NFL knowledge for granted.

Did not read through this thread so someone else may have said this. Mike Tomlin needs to stop letting the players get away with the sh!t they do. Billi**** and the Eagles head coach would not put up with the things that go on in Steelerville.

What Tomlin needs to accomplish is have greater control of the lockeroom. Batten down the hatches on some of the nonsense and reaffirm discipline and character.

Part of that has been done through one draft; T.J. Watt being the nucleus. Much of it has to be done from Tomlin.

Side note; something tells me that Pittsburgh drafted T.J. Watt for more than just being an "all world linebacker". Then again, looking back, I should have known better.

First of all you're late...so your pettiness wasn't necessary. You know how I know you're petty? Because the point of my comment was to point out that Tomlin is just as much a HOF candidate as anybody else and whether Marino was in a SB or not doesn't hurt my argument...he never won it is my point. You never addressed that though not to mention you linked a wiki reference. You could have just linked Marinos website or just said it and it would have been more believable.

Other people had already clarified he had been to a SB which I knew but didn't check myself. It's kinda like misspelling a word and not doing a spell check or proofreading. It happens. Thanks for thinking you enlightened the conversation though. You can continue flipping burgers now.

My question is has he improved over the mistakes he’s made in the past?
