How bout a full season of throwbacks?

C'mon Gooddell. Does that give us too much of an advantage?

Those unis are so ugly they might actually be an advantage. What defensive player in his right mind would look at them any more than he had to?

 

Exactly. They played pissed off (and rightly so)... I say suit them up in these babies every week :-D

I thought the stripes made them look like prisoners.

I think I'll take my chances with our regular uni's.

 

I didn't get to watch the game but I can only IMAGINE what Casey looked like in that uniform It's bat enough his helmet doesn't fit

i'm with ya. we played pretty well in them. this was the spark needed. go with them the rest of the season.

 

I don't know the Steelers official record while wearing throw back uni's but the last few seasons they really seem to play at another level. That's the reason I'm all for playing 8 home games with a different decade representing each game. By the way I liked those BLOCK numbers!

 

Actually Colon is the one who looks worse in the stripes.

I liked some of the other throwback uniforms but I thought these were awful.

 

as the game went on i actually started liking them aswell. they looked like giant bees or prisoners, but all in all i thought they looked pretty cool. maybe if they wore black pants it would look a little better.

 

Would you have liked them if the score was reversed?

 

im not really superstitious when it comes to what the Steelers are wearing. i save those crazy things for what i was wearing when they win.

 

They really grew on me-- I hated them at first! I thought they looked rediculous when I saw a pic several months ago. I was embarrassed the first quarter. By halftime I was starting to like them. By the end of the game I was sold. To me they look like prison garb-- they project toughness, in a chain gang sort of way. I ordered me a custum jersey Sunday night!!!

 

Im just glad that they didn't wear helmets in 1934. At least they got to wear their regular helmets so it could have been worse.

 

Yeah, those uniforms were pretty bad. Definitely not the tough guy image that we want to project...but...we did play significantly better.

 

You got to wonder what all those Redskin drops were from.....were they distracted from getting stung by some yellow jackets??

Maybe the jersey is a benefit???

I like the throwbacks a lot, but I need to wait until I have $100 to throw around....could be awhile.
