Belichick knew how to use the injury report to is advantage.
Tomlin has been disciplined more than once for not reporting injuries correctly. The thing that screwed Tomlin was his own players running their mouths when they shouldn't have. That's probably why Ben is in full public denial mode about his knee (if it is bothering him, Ben has slumped in the past for no apparent reason and fans have been questioning the offensive game plan for as long as I can remember).

He’s definitely throwing from the body. Question is, is that a “result of” or the “reason for”?

Ben's knee is so bad he will be receiving SSI on his retirement in January.

We'll probably never know what's really going on. The Steelers definitely know what his arm strength is like though. They have a special ball that can track velocity, the spin, etc. when Ben throws it. They can compare all his numbers to previous years, so they know what he is and isn't capable of.

Either way, we really need a plan to replace Ben. His time is all but up. He's always banged up and he's not getting any younger. I don't see Ben being able to get through an entire season without being injured. He's always been a guy that's banged up a lot, but father time is very unforgiving, and a player like Ben is going to age much faster than a player that hasn't taken the abuse over the years
