Another all around great game called.

Extra props for MT on challenging Succos knee being down. I think the Rats were on their way to scoring, would have converted that 4th and short and gone onto score and who knows how that would have changed the game.

    Good job :applaud:

Yeah, it was a great game all around. Only two plays that really hurt us badly... The KO return and the long TD pass (maybe the fumbled snap as well lol). That successful challenge was huge. I was watching the game with my Dad, and he didn't like the challenge initially and made some comment on how MT was horrible with challenges. I looked it up and found that he actually has the highest challenge success rate in the league (active coaches) at 54.5 percent. It's crazy to think a percentage so close to half leads the league.

You notice how Tomlin has only started winning once Cowher's players like Keisel and Harrison got revved up?

I said it in another thread, but I'll say to here too. Fantastic coaching job these past few weeks. The team seems to be coming around and playing each snap with a sense of urgency. I had become a doubter of Tomlin and some of his staff last year and early this year after being a strong Tomlin supporter for several years. He has definitely pushed some good buttons. However, the challenge now is to win on the road against two clearly inferior opponents. I said a few weeks ago that I'd be thrilled to eat crow if Tomlin gets the ship righted. Well, let's see if we can put away the teams that we should put away these next couple of weeks and hit the bye at 8-3. If that happens I'll be firing up the BBQ and plucking crow feathers.

Don't know if this was mentioned, the way the D is now blitzing like a machine this proves it was Lebeau who was the one holding them back,, it took a boat load of bad press to wake the old fart up!!!

The D has become more aggressive, somebody had to have said something to Lebeau. Before the past 2 games they were playing too conservative. Now he has everybody charging at the QB instead of the same 3 or 4 guys. The OL's are having trouble picking everybody up.

I look at it just a bit different...I think our entire staff thought our CB'S are better than they really are and after enough bad play and bad tape the Coaches decided to help the DB'S out by turning up the heat...

I feel this is something I need to do. The coaching staff has done a tremendous job the last few weeks and the team really seems to be gelling. Tomlin has had the team well prepared and Haley has devised a gameplan that has allowed Ben to be Ben but with a methodology that keeps him focused and involved. LeBeau has revived Blitzburgh (sort of) and is getting the most out of marginal talent in the secondary. Tomlin kept the team together after some shaky early season performances. I'm proud of this team right now. Proud of the players and, yes, proud of the coaches. We've got a long way to go but it appears that somebody has flipped on the switch. I'll still offer criticisms when warranted, but I don't want to neglect to give credit where credit is due either. Nice work by the entire coaching staff.

Crow is an acquired taste, but isn't half bad if it's prepared the right way. ;)

can we give Carnell Lake some props? I would give him more if he can get Cortez Allen back to form.

Ya especially with Luck he would've eaten them alive if they didn't charge at him, it worked so they did the same thing to FlakeO, hope they don't have a let down vs the Yets and go back to playing like girls.

Or he could have said, "Well, this ain't working. Might as well throw caution to the wind."

I don't really care. The last 3 weeks have earned them a cooler seat. ;)

Nope a lot more blitzes and a lot more stunts , We have even went to some cover zero blitzes ...On an aggressive scale of 1 to 10 we are at like a 8 and at the beginning of the year that would have been a 3 or 4 ....
