How AB being ruled out benefits us in the long run

Optimistic, yes, but hear me out:

    1) Angry Denver D (due to the Cody Wallace situation), and an angry Chris Harris seeking to punish AB (pure assumption on my part) could mean career altering implication for AB if he were to get 2 concussions in 2 weeks

    2) The Bengals have had a huge part in ending our past 2 seasons with dirty play - taking out Bell 2x, taking out Ben and AB this week. Putting the "AB was faking it" narrative to bed hopefully means 0 tolerance for this BS for our 2+ yearly opponent. The NFL and its officiating react strongly to narratives - see: white gloves for Brady, Harrison penalties, AP and Ray Rice suspensions. I don't think I'm being unrealistic here

    3) With Ben's limited arm, most of our passing game is going to be short, over the middle dinkndunk. I just don't think we want a freshly concussed AB out there for that, and who knows, maybe he's looking over his shoulder all game.

Give Coates a shot, maybe DHB holds onto the ball and we manage to never have OLB's covering WR's in this game, and we go to KC for the AFCCG.

This is the 3rd time this season we thought we were absolutely done for!

I'm slow on the news... has he definitely been ruled out?

I'm not saying we won't miss him, but we have a really solid receiving corps that go beyond just one guy, and this offense is always at it's best when the ball is getting spread about. They just have to get off to a good, confident start, settle the nerves, and for the love of God get Wheaton on the same page as whoever's throwing him the ball.

With AB out, maybe Ben realizes that he needs to reel it in and be more of a game manager in this game instead of pretending he's fine and trying to chuck it all around the playground.

Ever heard of the phrase 3rd time is the charm? Seriously though, I think we might actually win. Everyone is a big Denver fan this week. Nobody wants us to have #7.
