Just heard that this game’s broadcast will heavily feature the SkyCam view. They said they had to use it in the ATL-NE game because of fog, and viewers loved it. Hmmm...

Anybody watch that game? Care to comment?

I watched most of the game. I feel towards the end of the game it really didn't matter what view they used. The fog was so thick it was so hard to see anything. I felt bad for the fans who spent money on tix and not be able to see, well, except for those damn pats fans of course!

Hate to be a dick (although I have been told I have a knack for it) but its the Tenn-Pitt game. Houston-Pitt is Christmas Day.

I saw the game, and I prefer that view. You can see much better what is going on at the line of scrimmage.

If you've grown up playing Madden, it doesn't seem that unusual to see a game that way.

The only problem will be if there's a fumble, tipped pass, etc. I think we'll probably lose sight of the ball

So they're getting tired of the scrutiny of botched calls! Taking us out of the game... The fix is in hahahahhahaha

Overhead skycam, blue medical tents hiding the doctors shining a flashlight in players' eyes after getting their bell rung, small market teams not being allowed to deploy man coverage...this game is going to hell!!

It's been a while since I've seen a Houston Oilers vs Steelers game. Looking forward to it.

I’m worried how we’re going to contain their running attack. That Earl Campbell looks legit.

On topic: I watched more of last night’s game. The SkyCam view isn’t so bad, I guess.

Hated the skycam. Can't see what's happening beyond the line of scrimmage. No sense of how the overall play unfolds.

Might be handy for televised Hockey games, viewers miss so much play along the nearside glass - surprised they haven't figured out a way to split the screen or switch to overhead when the nearside play is hidden from view. MLB sort of has this figured out with instant multiple camera views. It's high on my list right behind perfecting Whirled Peas.

I loved the heck out of it. [IMG]Probably going to make me stop complaining when Ben throws a bad pass. Steelers TNF game will have plenty of it and I can't wait. Was amazed at the speed of the plays and you can really see just how hard it is for a receiver to get open.

When I saw that thread title, it made me think of a Steelers/Oilers Thursday night game in 1980. The Steelers lost a heartbreaker 6-0, and that was pretty much it for the glory years.

One of the best games I ever watched the Steelers and Oilers played to 6-0. An absolute slugfest.

was that the game in 1980 I remember? Must be. An absolutely horrible, heart breaking memory. One of my worst Steelers memories, in fact, in 45 years of watching.

    Yes

Funny how one can remember a game from 37 years ago.
