i know the Steelers have looked pretty bad so far, but pretty much so has the entire AFC.

there are only 2 teams with a winning recore through 6 weeks. let me repeat that, ONLY 2 TEAMS WITH A WINNING RECORD. that is pretty amazing. and 1 of those 2 teams just lost 2 of their best defensive players for the year.

so for as bad as the Steelers have looked most of know they can improve. i still believe that if Harrison, Troy and Woodley can stay relitively healthy, the defense can be decent. not great, but decent. i dont think they can be great again until their scheme changes and they start to let some of the young guys play, but if they can just be good they can still win.

i think the offense is very close to be explosive. all the weapons are there and i think Haley has them on the right track and it looks like Ben has bought into it. the oline has improved and they are doing a good job of keeping Ben clean. now if they can get their running game on track they can be a force.

for as bad as it looks, in a week they can be right back in the thick of it.

I was thinking the same thing, everyone is wrapped up in our own ugly play that they aren't taking a look at the rest of the league, there are no dominant teams out there, even the 2 best teams got their asses handed to them this past weekend. We're still in this thing.

A team is never as bad as they think they are, and never as good as they think they are, thats an old saying that is true, but a team can dig a hole so deep they cant get out of it, so with this in mind I want to see the steelers prove they can win a division game sunday against a team that lost to the 0-5 browns last sunday, if they want to turn this season around then prove it to me by beating the Bengals who is far from being an elite team, if they dont win this game against a mediocre team then they cant hang with the big boys for the rest of the season, they are what their record says they are, and after sunday night if their record says they are 2-4 then they are what their record says they are, a very bad team.......

I completely agree. If they just show mediocrity against the Bengals then that is what we will get for the remainder of the season. I fully expect them to play with a lot of intensity Sunday Night against a much improved Bengal team than we have seen in the past.

The bengals are desperate and will be bringing it sunday night, and marvin lewis has to be happy with his AJ Green/Ike Taylor matchup, Ike will cost us this game if we lose, just like he did in the titan game, only this time ike will be matched up with an elite receiver so possibly even more intereference calls on him in this game, not good news for the steelers, of course we could put another corner on green, but for some reason they wont make that change, they seem to be happy with incompetence from ike at corner.....

I believe the correct saying is " Your never as good as you think you are and never as bad as they say you are "

Why are we supposed to believe that guys like Troy and Woodley can stay healthy for the rest of the season.Even if the AFC is down the Steelers haven't shown they can stop anybody on defense.

We need to get healthy that is our main problem. That said, we could have and should have won all five games this year. Cowher blew one win when leading by ten our more in the forth. We can't hold a lead if we are up by thirty. We need a running game, we need a pass rush, we need to stop the run. These our things we took for granted for two decades and now we can't do any of these. I pray we get healthy quickly and then we will know if these guys are good enough or not. Right now there not.

I'm pissed I'm disgruntled but I haven't given up (I can't say the same for our team). I bleed black and gold the question is do our players????????

I am tired of defending these guys. There is NO resemblance
of a playoff caliber team that I am seeing up to this point.
    I hope it changes?

Before the Titans game I would have said that no matter how bad we were looking at times, I had a hard time seeing us finish with anything less than 10-6. But after the Titans loss I can't really.

We have proven we can lose to anybody. Unless this team kicks it up a notch, I see 8-8.
