Hope Butler is paying attention

Screw whether Butler is watching it. I want Randy, Matt and Sarret to watch how you design an effective run play. I will bet dollars to dimes if the Steelers tried something similar with Dobbs that Chuks blocks the wrong man, Ebron or Mac, whiff on their block, Fieler is slow on his pull and Decastro doest seal the inside but moves to the second level before Pouncey can set his block.

On defense I'd have Cam try to cave that side, have VWill blitz straight into the gap to force the pulling guard to setting his block at the line instead of the 2nd level and have Edmunds or Spillane floating so if the play doesn't open a gap they can flow thr outside and make the play.

 

Steelers are not at a position to emulate that play on offense. That wasn’t Brees running it, it was Hill. None of our QBs is going to do that, or have the tape to convince the opposing defense they could throw it.

Great on the Saints for drawing up a play that puts their people into a successful position. Success comes in many forms.

 

If they wildcat it using Dobbs maybe, but no one will buy Ben flanking out to the outside receiver spot, nor is Dobbs as physically impressive as Tysom Hill but they could potentially run it.

 

We see this play all the time. That being said, If I was a DB , I’m hitting the **** out of Drew...Every time they line him up out there....

 

I hope Butler is paying attention to the Bengals for right now.

Yes me too, if mixon plays they will give the Steelers defense problems. If there OL was better
they could give and have giving teams problems.

 

We have seen Numerous plays like this from many different teams over the years.

How many times can you run that play a game, or from that formation....

I think our defense would be able to adjust to that play....

I think the were paying attention to the Bengals last week as they overlooked the Cowboys.

 

Cannot be a wildcat because Dobbs' classification is QB. The wildcat refers to other positions taking snaps. It would be obvious to smart defenders that a QB is capable of throwing the ball.

 

I tell them all to hustle, but they only seem to shuffle, I really can't explain,

Williams on a receiver, the QB pulls the trigger, the fans all complain,

I truly think I'm smarter, but confusing all the starters, if I only had a brain. ...

 

Latest word on CBS sports (about an hour ago) was Mixon was having problems at practice and could be doubtful.

 

Mixon is 0-fer whatever against the Steelers.

I don’t see him running 20 times against the Defense..
