three weeks ago you didn't think they had a chance, and they've gone 1-2 since then; and now you DO think they have a chance?

they have about a 3% chance. Slim but not zero. But they haven't played two decent games in a row all yr, lets see if they can do that.

It's a good chance by my estimation

The dolphins remaining schedule:vs. Chargers (4-5), vs. Panthers (6-3), at Jets (5-4), at Steelers (3-6), vs. Patriots (7-2), at Bills (3-7), vs. Jets (5-4)
The Browns Remaining schedule: at Bengals (6-4), vs. Steelers (3-6), vs. Jaguars (1-8), at Patriots (7-2), vs. Bears (5-4), at Jets (5-4), at Steelers (3-6)
The Ravens remaining schedule: at Bears (5-4), vs. Jets (5-4), vs. Steelers (3-6), vs. Vikings (2-7), at Lions (6-3), vs. Patriots (7-2), at Bengals (6-4)
The chargers remaining schedule: at Dolphins (4-5), at Chiefs (9-0), vs. Bengals (6-4), vs. Giants (3-6), at Broncos (8-1), vs. Raiders (3-6), vs. Chiefs (9-0
The titans remaining schedule: at Raiders (3-6), at Colts (7-3), at Broncos (8-1), vs. Cardinals (5-4), at Jaguars (1-8), vs. Texans (2-7)
The raiders remaining schedule: at Texans (2-7), vs. Titans (4-6), at Cowboys (5-5), at Jets (5-4), vs. Chiefs (9-0), at Chargers (4-5), vs. Broncos (8-1)
The bills remaining schuedle: vs. Jets (5-4), vs. Falcons (2-7), at Buccaneers (1-8), at Jaguars (1-8), vs. Dolphins (4-5), at Patriots (7-2)

And last but not least, the Steelers remaining schedule[After we beat the lions]: at Browns (4-5), at Ravens (4-5), vs. Dolphins (4-5), vs. Bengals (6-4), at Packers (5-4), vs. Browns (4-5)
If you look at all of the opponents that all of these teams that are in the hunt for the 6th seed, because the 5th seed is going to go to the chiefs are the broncos. They all have very rough opponents. Out of all of them the bill probably have the best chance against their opponents, but they still have to face the patriots, and the dolphins. two divisional opponents who i believe they will lose both too which will put them out of contention as they already have 7 losses, so they cant afford to lose any games. The ravens have to face the lions patriots bengals, jets and the steelers to close out the season, theres no way that they are winning all or even one of those games, so with at least three of those most likely losses they are out of contention.

With all that being said The Steelers beat the Lions, a division leading team, so with the browns ravens and dolphins for the next 3 games, with a combined win total of 12-15, even though two are divisional games, we've beaten the ravens once, i believe we can do it again, and we have the browns twice, who struggle against good defenses, example how they played against the bengals today. The dolphins is a forseeable win, and the packers without aaron rodgers seems like a win. So if we beat everyone besides the bengals we're looking at a great chance of getting the 6th seed, and if we beat the bengals who are railing even though they sit at 7-4, we even have a chance to pull out the afc north.

Come on, TTF, you're not giving the rookie enough credit. THAT would have been a good 10,000th post!

Now, kid, go pick up my laundry. ;)

& now the ravens lost, lol, that makes the ravens and the browns ready to actually understand that every game counts, as they will both finish with losing records as the steelers will not, My solid prediction of the Pittsburgh steelers record when the season is over is 10-6, what is seen as likely if anything: 9-7. What will be the lowest possible outcome to the steelers record 8-8. The steelers haven't had a losing record for an extended period of time, that's why i believe in the end the Steelers will finish 10-6.

take it one game at a time, but if this team takes care of their business, our quarterback can carry this team to #7

    Right on.

If you've been a Steelers fan for a while, long or short while, then you know that this franchise is historically capable of making improbable, dramatic, late season playoff runs- 1976, 1989, and 2005 are the precedent here.

So, it can be done, and the only way to do it, is one game at a time. This was a huge game to get past, but all of them are huge at this point.
