Home Made Egg Rolls

Has anyone ever made home made egg rolls

How do you roll them and is it easy/hard

I’m going with pork and shrimp etc

I’m tired of the restaurant/grocery versions that are just deep fried cabbage rolls

Anybody from Pittsburgh area old enough to remember Charlie Ung’s Tea Garden in East Liberty

I've never personally made any, but have eaten plenty of homemade ones. I dated a Laotian for a while, and they make them quite often, but eat them a little differently. They like to eat them with a wrap of lettuce dipped in a peanut sauce.....I actually think that's a Thailand thing that they also do.....being as only a river separates the two countries.
But no....I've never made them personally.....so you have read all this for nothing. LoL

Viet Nam too. I ate them like that. Peanut sauce so good with them. Not lettuce but seaweed is how I had them.

 

That Ung place. Was it there in 71-73? I worked as a stock boy in East Liberty (slibery) at a place called Ralph Esposito & Co. Cutting tools, Dyes and wear parts. Something like that. It was on the main street in EL.

 

I forgot about Vietnam also. Yes the peanut sauce kicks it off

 

Yes I went there from about 1970-1990
