IF they had the money the Raiders or the Jags do then I would say yes throw some money Vince's way and see what sticks. The guy shuts down the run period, plus it would allow Mac to slide out to DE and give them depth there while allowing big Dan to gain some experience. As it is I say no to spending money on a guy that's 33 and would be a two down player, no matter how good.

He will cost a fortune otherwise I would go pick him up for the Rooney's myself and tell them we need to stop at every all you can eat buffet from Boston to Pittsburgh. I'd love if he came to Pittsburgh but it ain't happening.

Another good reason to have extra cap space . He could be a monster for 2 or 3 more seasons . Can we void the Cortez Allen contact and give it to him ?

I'm fine with McClendon and Shade Tree. I'm all in for getting another NT due to this being McClendon's last year (and he's 29-30ish),but I'd rather draft one so it's easier on the wallet. True you don't know how they will perform at the next level, but I think the FA dollars can be better spent on the secondary.

With Butler running the defense now, it will be interesting to see the free agents they target. Give us some indication of his mindset hopefully.

Wilfork is old and not the same dominant player, not interested in him at all.

Well... We couldn't afford him, but old and wilfork don't rhyme. He'd fit in well. And probably be a better old man fit than the diesel or James. They were too old too right? But salvaged a terrible D for the most part.

I would in a heartbeat if he really does have 3 or 4 more years in him. If our theory on a good pass rush covers for weaker corner play is actually true I think a great nose would be more valuable than a subpar at best corner.
