Did we pass 800 members?

Grats, and thanks TTF, on putting together a board we all can benefit from. And welcome everyone we may have missed.

 

Heh heh...yesterday afternoon some time. I think we had about 200 new members register over the course of 24 hours or so. Congrats to everyone for making this place such a great place to talk Steeler football (and anything else that comes to mind). :-D

 

Yeah, they just seem to be pouring in lately.

It seems like just last week, we were approaching 600, suddenly, we're over 860.

Funny considering I can't bring this site up using a general search on Yahoo or Google.

The more, the merrier.

(But it is nice when looking at registered users on-line and seeing a ton. Reminds me of the good ol' days on the old board... minus the crashes. )

 

It's mainly due to the fact that I restricted forum access to registered users only on Sunday night. Since then, we've had about 275 people sign up. I had no idea we had so many 'legitimate' guests lurking (I say legitimate because we have about 40-50 spam spiders crawling the pages at a given time). It wasn't my intent to convert guests to registered users...and I'll be restoring the guest access back to normal soon, but wow huh?

If there were a crash ( ), we have regular backups preformed and a caring and competent administrator who would work hard to have things quickly restored.

 

Oh, I'm not worried about a crash here. I was referring to the old board and how it would crash if it got overloaded.

 

Yeah, I understood ya. I just felt the need to dispel your jinx with an anti-jinx. I say that in jest of course.

 

And we reach another milestone. The 900th registered user just signed up.
