Holy... Kareem Hunt video

Well Bell is probably happy this opens another landing spot for him. Lots of good talent, probably has the cap space. Since mahomes is on a rookie deal. Plus he murdered the chiefs a few times. He might end up there.

 

Tbh his options overall are not bad. Philly(if they dont sign kareem), indy, Houston, kc.. he has some good options and all those teams have franchise QBs.

You are right about the impact of the video, but Hunt is in a very different place from Rice. Rice was older and clearly in steep decline. He probably could have still helped some teams, but probably as a part-time player. That simply isn't worth the potential backlash.

Hunt is much younger and he's among the top four or five running backs in the NFL. He would make a huge impact for any team. He's going to seem a lot more tempting than Rice.

 

Just glad the Chiefs did the right thing..

 

To me it really doesn't matter what preceded the video. Even if this were some gold digging woman trying to set Hunt up it doesn't matter. In the video there is no way to argue that Hunt was defending himself. He had plenty of opportunity to walk away and go back in his room. Instead he kept coming back to attack her, even after he'd knocked her to the ground where she was clearly stunned and just sitting there. He came back to kick her. Disgusting and reprehensible behavior.

Oh, and his friend is a liar. He said the woman left her cell phone in the room but you can see someone grab it from her in the video.

 

The Chiefs said that they released Hunt because he wasn't truthful about the whole situation, it changed things once the video came out.

 

I don't get why Hunt would freak out if the girls were only 19, they're legal .

He was probably using his head and didn't want a drunk 19 around. Nookie would be legal but under age drinking not so much.
Either way he doesn't deserve to be part of the nfl anymore.

 

Was expecting worse. Not as brutal as ray ray knocking his girl flat out but still never worth it to lay hands on a woman. Moron, had the world in his hands an just like that overnight he’s gone

 

Right, well that's what the one girl was quoted as saying. There were words exchanged, including name calling, etc. Drunk people acting stupid, only I don't understand when these people will learn that when you're a high profile athlete, you are under a microscope. Hunt is what? 26 or 27? He's not a kid anymore, he's a man. Start acting like one.

 

It's being reported that Hunt told them he never came out of the hotel room, the video contradicts his story, probably why they released him.

 

If the video contradicted his story (about coming out of the room) but it wasn't him assaulting the girl, do you think they would have released him? The chiefs chose to believe him.
The police tried to erase video from witnesses phones, but didn't bother to watch the surveillance video the hotel recorded. The officers filed two police reports, one listing the victim as a suspect. It's dirty, top to bottom.
