Yeah it's getting a little tiresome, they act as if we dont beat the putsies our season is over, far from it win or lose we will still be a high seed in the playoffs and with a much stronger defense than the one from last year, win or lose we will be in the playoffs so it's no big deal....

I just don't want us to go all out and throw the kitchen sink in the first meeting to try and win because it will make beating them again in the playoffs even harder. I hope we win but not if it means showing new stuff, schemes, and alignments in that effort.

I agree. Although there's always the caveat that can this team beat them in their house? If they meet in the playoffs, I'd much prefer it on the Steelers turf

Well yeah, we could have like 10 Super Bowls if it wasn't for them. Not use to a team owning us, usually Pens and Steelers do the owning.

Glenn, you been paying attention the last decade or so? It seems that way more often than not when our road to the Super Bowl goes through New England, we crash into the guardrail. I don't think it has anything to do with being obsessed with the Patriots, but the fact is until we can get that monkey off our back they're Batman and we're Robin.

Speaking of the number 10. Did you know that if we had not lost two games this season we would be 10-0?

You must be living under a rock. The Patriots have owned the Steelers since '01. Why wouldn't any Steelers fan in their right mind be obsessed with defeating the Patriots? I don't buy into the current Rams, Eagles, Saints and Vikings teams. The Steelers can beat them in the Super Bowl, if they get by the Patriots. Those NFC teams are beatable. Not sure if the Steelers will ever be able to beat the Patriots as long as Brady and Belichick are running things.

Well, Considering they have cost the Steelers 3 trips to the Super Bowl, discussion is there. Steelers need to win Week 15 and then beat them in the AFC Title Game to get to the Super Bowl. KC could be the surprise team to ruin that but the Steelers have to beat the Patriots more than likely twice to get to the Super Bowl this year.

Steelers pass rush has not been good. If you do not pressure Brady for 60 minutes, he will destroy them again. And the Steelers will need to score TD's since the Pats D is not good.

I didn't say obsessed with beating them I said obsessed.

You're one of them so I wouldn't expect you to understand.

As fans we are tired of losing to that cheating team. They have been a nemesis for a long while now and our team has to prove that they can win not once but probably twice against them if they want to make it to Minnesota for the SB. I can see why people are obsessed with winning that game in a couple of weeks.

I just hope the Steelers concentrate on beating GB next Sunday to continue the winning streak.

Exactly. And we may not even have to play New England in the playoffs if somebody else knock them off.
I just get tired of the same storyline.
    Hey We're 8-2,
    "but the Patriots "
We just beat the Chiefs, " but the Patriots"

Every accomplishment we make has to be knocked down with the stupid Patriots talk.

This is the 6-time Super Bowl Champions. Being 8-2 means dick. Winning the Super Bowl is all that matters and beating the Patriots will be mandatory to do that. Sorry, that's reality.

You're right. It'd be so much better to be 2-8 right now.
More than likely we will need to beat the Pats in the playoffs, but it's not a given that we'll even have to face them.

True my simmering hatred of the Patriots has burned with the fury of a thousand suns for many years now. I hate myself for needing to puck up a Patriot in fantasy this week, may have to nut punch myself later this weekend

I fully get the Pats obsession among much of the fan base. There's really no other obstacle to an AFC championship unless we self-destruct or suffer key injuries.
