HOF

Accidentally caught myself watching BSPN, they were discussing which 6 current players will one day make the Hall. None of them were Steelers. So who has the potential with maybe a few more good years and one or two more championships to make the hall?

Lamar W (if he didn't get injured last year, he was on a run to lead the league in sacks, get back on that horse and ride it several years)

Mike P? You mean Mike W? Waaaaay too early to tell. Same with Woodley. Long road ahead of him.

 

No, I meant Pouncey. Wouldn't you at least agree, they have the potential?

 

Also, I didn't include Wallace or Brown, because being receivers there is a ton of competition right now. Just as Wallace isn't worth Fitz money, neither are in Megatron's league. Ward does have longevity, 1000 catches, a superbowl MVP, but perhaps the wildcard for him is his toughness as a blocker. Even with that, he may have to wait awhile. With the NFL of today, receivers will have to be spectacular for a long time. Without the 4 rings, Swann's stats probably wouldn't get him a nod these days.

 

Oh, then you mean Maurkice P.

Yeah, both have potential although if I had to pick one it would be Pouncey.

Not sure which program I had on yesterday while channel surfing. But the talking heads were talking about Bettis and his great powerful runs back in the day. They showed that clip of Bettis running through the snow, dragging Urlicher(sp?) after him with his foot, and they said Bettis just has to be in the HOF someday for his sheer unstoppable-ness like that.

 

I think Bettis is a lock next year. They could only put in so many Steelers at a time. Martin getting in was almost worth it just to be able to hear that amazing speech he gave.
