    We win out
Baltimore is going to lose to Cincy last game, thus giving us the division. Making Baltimore 5th and Cincy 6th
Bye week, Houston beats Cincy, Rats beat Oakland.
We get Texans and beat them easily, and Pats beat the Ravens.
    We beat patriots.
We beat Saints in Superbowl (Saints beat 17-0 Packers in NFC Championship)

    Any questions? Didnt think so.
    :herewego!:

Baltimore is going to drop a game to Cleveland. Same effect.

We get the Patsies in the AFC Championship so we can finally get that monkey off our back.

Rematch in the SB against the Packers.

Gameplan from the Patsies game in full effect. We win in OT.

I think it happens this way

    We win out
Baltimore is going to lose to SD , thus giving us the division. Making Baltimore 5th and JETS 6th
Bye week, Jets beats Houston, Rats beat Broncos.
We get JETS and beat them easily, and Ravens beat the Pats.
    We beat Ravens.
We beat Cowboys in Superbowl (Cowboys beat Saints in NFC Championship)

I hope this happens in SOME way that yinz guys have described. My fear is that BOTH Steelers and Rat-turds win out and Steelers end up Road warriors with a 13-3 record. How sad would that be to be 13-3 and be a #5 seed?

I also think the Ratbirds will drop a game. My fear is that we will lose to SF out there and that will seal our fate as the 5th seed. That 92 yd drive I feel is going to come back and haunt us...

But if the Steelers do go to OT in the Superbowl I will need the paramedics on standby at the house. Not sure I could take it. Heck I could barely take Sunday night against the Chiefs...

They didn't scare me - but given the Steelers propensity to play down to their opponents, the game did not impress me. So, I wouldn't base my nervousness about the 49ers on the outcome of the Chefs game. I'm just nervous about it because it is the highest quality team they play from now until the playoffs.

On another note, it is December - and the Steelers tend to peak in December, so I don't think that game will be a problem. The team we need to worry about is the Clowns. If we're going to play down to an opponent, it will be to them.

Wouldn't the game be over when the first team scores in OT. Am I missing something?

Ahhh, yes you have missed the overtime rule change for the play-offs, which has been in effect for 2 years.

    Playoff OT rules:
#1. Both teams are guaranteed at least one possession, unless the first team to have the ball scores a TD (this includes running the OT kickoff back for a TD).
#2. If the the team that starts the OT on offense goes down and kicks a FG, the other team MUST at least get a FG on the next possession to continue OT as SUDDEN DEATH, or score a TD to win the game.
#3. If the the team that starts the OT on offense doesn't score, then in essence the game goes to sudden death, as both teams will have at least one possession and the next score wins it.

How are these rules different from regular season OT?
I mean, besides that a regular season game can end on a tie and a playoff game can't.

In the regular season, it is SUDDEN DEATH right from the kickoff. The first team to have the ball can end the game with a FG in the regular season. In the playoffs, the game wouldnt end on an opening drive FG.

I would love to see a superbowl go to overtime.

Just not one involving the Steelers, please.

I thought it was changed this season, and also in Regular Season if you have the ball first, in order to end the game you must score a TD. A FG forces a kickoff and a possession to the other team.
