Heath's replacement?

As you know, I am not a Buckeye supporter, but a TE needs added in this draft, this will be Heath's last year
and James is not the answer.

 

vannett is a heath like blocker and he is a talented receiver. james has gotten better and i think we have a good vet coach in daniels that can make them better. as a second TE i think james could be a good one. you may give a little of that up in blocking with him right now, but the receiving option will grow over spaeth.

 

No it only affects #1 draft choices that suck like Jarvis

 

It never affected Ziggy Hood? How about Mike Adams?

 

Adams wasn't a first rounder.

 

But he was a 2nd rounder, think of all the draft picks
the Steelers have drafted under this regime that have gone by the wayside? It's amazing
and to not have any from 08-09 draft class on the roster is utterly amazing.

 

I actually stopped by to see if anyone was pimping Henry yet. I believe he's a game changer. I would be pleased as peach if we grabbed him. It's very unfortunate that after all the defense we've taken that we still don't have one. Here's hoping that Shazier can stay healthy and build off of this year. He at least flashed a couple times this year. Dupree, hopefully, will turn out ok. I think he'll at least be a solid starter. I'm done hoping JJ will ever be anything. He'll probably stick around for awhile simply because he already knows the system and who else is gonna want to sign him? They'll probably re-sign him pretty cheap, but that position will still need an upgrade. Maybe Chickillo can step up? That would be nice.

As much as I like Henry though, if there's a DB on the board that has a rating close to Henry, take the DB for goodness sake. We always have one of the worst secondaries around. Other corps go up and down. The O-line goes up and down, the WR's. The D-line. But our secondary is always weak. Sure we had Troy for a long time but that was it. No other standouts. This goes back to the Chad Scott, Dewayne Washington days. Put some damn priority on the secondary for pete's sake!

 

If Henry falls out of the first, I doubt he makes it past Dallas' 2nd round pick #35. Why not replace the aging Witten with the "new" Witten. I'm not against the idea of Pittsburgh taking him at 25, but I saw some mocks where Henry goes early/mid 2nd and that would be surprising imo. Unless he has a slow 40 or something crazy.
