If we really think Ben has 2-3 years left, Bush is finished for 2020, we believe in Claypool, Washington, DJ and Ray Ray and we know we probably will not be able to sign Juju next year anyways. Pains me to say it but do we offer him for a straight up trade for an all pro ILB such as Eric Kendricks (Minnesota) or Deion Jones (Atlanta). Rationale for this is as follows:

    1. Even when Bush comes back you would have 3 great LBs, I would say 4 but we are losing Dupree.
    2. We know we probably will not be able to sign Juju anyway with all of the other guys we need to sign next year. Plus we have good talent in the WR maybe just unproven.
    3. We don’t trade Juju within AFC both NFC teams
    4. I chose both of these teams because they are 1-5 and essentially out of the race this year.
    5. Both of these LBs are top 10 and have both run stopping and coverage ability, problem is do they fit the Steeler unique scheme.

Obviously these teams would have to want to trade and see equal value in Juju to their player. Their is also money ramifications I have not factored in here but that is for the front office. I know some will say don’t panic and we are fine with what we have but just curious to throw this out here and what others think?

I think you roll with Robert Spillane, UG III, and mix in Marcus Allen and sign a Veteran FA on the market for some depth, and getting him used to the system for a weeks.

If Spillane or UG III turn out, it might be a good for the future, as you never know what happens with Vince Williams next year.
