Head to Head Hits

Over the past few years, since my kids love soccer, I've started watching with them. I can't get over the fact that several times during a match, a player falls to the ground rolling/holding their leg like they just got shot or something...many times it looks like it hurts; however over half the time it is complete fake.

I've watched several NFL games this year and I feel that the players are starting to do the same thing. On alot of hits (big hits) players grab their head trying to get the call.

I've lost a lot of passion that I once had for the NFL. I realize that they are trying to make it safe for the players, but as many have pointed out...it is only safe for a select group. Running backs use their heads and so does the defense when the hit them. Linemen hit heads on most plays.

So the NFL singles out the receivers and QB's to get this extra protection...while the rest can continue to play they way football was meant to be played.

 

recievers and qbs have always put on a little act to try and get a call, but usually when they grab their head or knee, its because they are hurting.

 

I had the same issue....hmmm....

 

that would be nice gift to find hanging from the fireplace on christmas morning, but i doubt my wife would give me that.
