I said "Noll didn't always have the talent". I remember some pretty lean rosters, post-dynasty.

Cabin Fever does a lot to the brain. This thread is totally ridiculous. And I would never cheer for any opposing QB to win anything, let alone the overrated Paty. I roll and bleed till death with the Pittsburgh Steelers, the rest of the league I care little about.

When Woodson went to the crows I hated the fact he won a Super Bowl with them. But then again, im not a follower...

Only thing he really didn't have in the 80's was a QB. Had some pretty good talent elsewhere.

Early 80's, post-dynasty aging players, you're probably right. Mid to late 80's, not so much (imo). I'm going be memory only, and a book I read about the 1980's Steelers awhile back. I'm not going by actual stats like all-pros, pro bowlers ect., so I could be off.

Sorry, but we were loaded with talent in the late 80’s

True...Steelers had a good defense just about every year in the 80's except for '87-'88... and they had a lot injuries during that time. Steelers stuck with Malone when they should have drafted Marino. Same thing happened in the late 90's, early 00's with Cowher at HC... Steelers could have drafted Pennington, but they stuck with Stewart.

I'm not sure why Peyton Manning impacted me as much as he did. The true power of making me turn against my team during that game sounds crazy to others, but honestly, I like him better than Tom Brady. Peyton seems more down to Earth & less arrogant. Brady is slightly more arrogant and has been involved in scandals with the Patriots.

Hey that's hitting close to home (literally). The water consumption regs and penalties are so high out here in Cali, it's cheaper to just pray for sand.
