have we found a kicker?

I have zero confidence in Suisham.

I had tremendous confidence in Kris Brown . . . at Three Rivers. Then they moved to Heinz and that was that.

I had a ton of confidence in Norm Johnson (then he retired).

I hated Todd Peterson.

I loved Jeff Reed (until the missed kick at Chicago followed up by the missed kick at Cincinnati--then you knew he had mentally lost it).

Out of all of these past kickers, my confidence in Suisham ranks somewhere between Todd Peterson and Jeff Reed after he lost his confidence.

I don't trust him to make a kick, at all. He missed a big FG before halftime of the AFCCG against Baltimore (that we rallied in the second-half and won despite Suisham) and he missed a FG in the Super Bowl (indoors). He needs to be replaced. Give this young kid a shot. As it was mentioned previously, he'd be a lot cheaper and, as someone perfectly put it, he couldn't be any more "mediocre" than Suisham.

 

for some reason, this kid Hrapmann looks to have more power in his kick than Shuisum. Shuisum always has the lazy looking kicks.

 

Great post, why do we think Suisham is the man?

He wasn't that good at Washington (18/21 85.7%, 26/36 72.2%, 29/35 82.9%,got ran out of town), went to Dallas for 2 games, came back had a decent 1/2 year with Pittsburgh 14/15 in seven games and went 23/31 74.2% last year (missing some that would have changed game situations or closed out games).

His only "good" years were ones when he appeared in about half the games. I'm ready for a kicker that's at least got some upside.

 

so has anyone read anything or heard if this kid has a shot. I have read about people competing for roster spots but havent heard his name. I hope heis getting a fair look and isnt just camp comp.

 

I will take the rook immediately. We have seen Suisham best, and it isn't very impressive. Now we can to better for cheaper. Even if he is mediocre with FGs, his leg on kickoffs make him a better choice then Suisham
